Kool-aid Playdough Recipe
2 1/2 cups flour
2 Tablespoons oil
2 cups boiling water
1/2 cup salt
2 packs of unsweetened Kool-aid (same flavor)
Mix all ingredients together. Your choice of Kool-aid will give
the color
and the smell. Must be boiling water or the consistency won't
be correct.
More Playdough Recipes:
Playdough
4 cups flour
1/4 cup powdered Tempera
1/4 cup salt
1 1/2 cups water
1 Tablespoon oil
Mix together flour, powdered paint and salt. Mix water and oil.
Gradually
stir water and oil mixture into flour mixture. Knead the
mixture as you add
the liquid. Add more water if too stiff, more flour if too
sticky. Let the
children help with measuring and mixing. (You can add color by
adding it
to the cold water before mixing it with the flour.
Alum Playdough
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 Tablespoons alum
1 cup water
2 tablespoons oil
liquid food coloring
Pour dry ingredients into a large pan. Stir together to mix
well. Stir oil and
food coloring into the water. Pour liquid into the dry
ingredients while
mixing, squeezing, and kneading the dough. If too sticky, add
more flour.
Keeps best in a covered container in refrigerator.
Stay-Fresh Dough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
1 Tablespoon alum
1 Tablespoon oil
7/8 cup boiling water
Mix together flour, salt, alum and oil in a bowl. Pour in
boiling water. Mix
well and knead. After using, wrap in plastic bag and store in
refrigerator.
This dough will stay fresh for months.
Yet Another Playdough Recipe
Cooked Playdough
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 cup water
1 Tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon food coloring
Combine flour, salt, and cram of tartar in a saucepan. Mix
liquids and
gradually sift them into the dry ingredients. When mixture is
smooth, cook
over medium heat, stirring constantly until ball forms. Remove
from heat,
cool slightly and knead until smooth. This is a very pliable
and long-lasting
dough.
This is my first post in your news group. I'm happy to finally have
something to share!
PLAYDOUGH RECIPE
Mix together in pot:
1/2 cup salt
1 cup flour
2 tbsp cream of tartar
Add: 1 cup water
2 tbsp oil
food coloring
Cook on medium heat for about 3 minutes. Make sure you stir with a very
strong spoon. Playdough will become firm and form a ball. Knead for 1
minute. Let cool and store in an air tight container.
*Instead of food coloring use a package of Kool-Aid or Jello. It works
great and smells nice too!

We just tried this recipe (and the Flubber one, too), and Kelly's
happily playing with her new pink Pla-Doh right now! Very easy, quick,
and came out great.
