No wonder this firm is facing an uncertain future. Like Dell, HP
doesn't do good customer service or product quality control. Before
you throw cash at HP, check the following e-mail back-and forth.

ESSENTIALLY, you're saying I'm stuck with an unusable HP printer.
The information I provided (attached) -- which I consider a formal
complaint -- should be forwarded -- BY YOU -- to one of the TS the
sites referenced below, and subsequently I should be contacted via an
appropriate respondent/site. A doubtful outcome, given "your"
apparent unwillingness to follow through. And please, no more
apologies.
Without question, I have acquired my last HP product. And among my
associates, I'm not alone in this determination.
No wonder we read that HP faces an uncertain future.

Dear Rose:
I HAVE, unfortunately, an HP Officejet 4500 Wireless All-In-One, which
I received some months ago as a gift.
HOWEVER, after trying myriad times to "connect" it to my HP Pavilion
a6000n Desktop PC, following all directions carefully, my PC doesn't
"recognize" the printer. Or vice versa. Result: I can't print from
my PC with the Officejet 4500.
Initially, a test print was successful, and the unit does copy. But
there is no response when attempting to print a simple document from
my PC.
During the installation attempts, after inserting the CD when
directed, I receive messages, "Windows was unable to install your
Officejet 4500 G510n-z," and "Windows could not find drives for your
device."
However, when searching my PC's innards, I consistently receive
messages stating "all drives have been installed" or the PC has all
necessary drives.
If you Google "Problems with HP 4500 Wireless All-In-One Printers" you
will find dozens of complaints identical to mine.
My guess is that, due to an HP manufacturing or quality control
shortfall, rather surprisingly, HP products don't necessarily match
up with other HP products! Like my HP PC doesn't work with the HP
4500.
A sales rep at Best Buy -- this date -- was somewhat nonplussed, but
was unable to offer any solutions, other than running disk drive
downloads from HP, which I have done numerous times. To no avail.
I'm sorry that I turned in my HP PSC 1210v all--in-one before
discovering the 4500 problem.
I'd like to think that if I could find an operable 1210, perhaps I'd
be back in business.
Thanks for your interest.
But I, like many complainants, are stuck with a product that doesn't
work as "advertised."
Again, check Google.
