They are flogging their website, presumably for profit.
Advertisers pay per number of hits to a website.

This is, of course, against the rules of most newsgroups and the
terms of service of most any ISP. Short of cashing in their karma,
complaining to their ISP, their web hosting service or their mother,
there isn't much you can do about it.

Complaining about it on the newsgroup, especially by reposting their
website, is nearly as bad as the original offense.

No member of congress has ever been impeached,no less convicted in a
senate trial and there is no need as a majority of either house can
expel a member of that house. Of course, unlike impeachment, they can
still run for their old seat.
