I am familiar with the basics of handmade paper. Does anyone know of a way
to vary the procedures to make strong watercolor-proof papers such as Cotman's?
Do you suppose it would work to just make them extra thick, and provide extra
"sizing?" The Winston webpage (the watercolor company) mentions they coat
their paper with gelatine. Has anyone tried or successfully made their own?

Or does anyone know a REALLY cheap source of watercolor paper?

Dear Lucky,

This *may* be of use to you. It's a tutorial on making all sorts of paper.
I've really not had time to look it over ... looks interesting, though! You
might find some watercolour paper making help in here:

Good luck : )
