Maybe people donate things to make themselves feel better about doing
something good.

Except, only a dumb ass top posts..........
Seriously, if you have an item of clothing to donate, have it dry
cleaned beforehand and keep the receipt with your tax records. If you
itemize your taxes, the cost of cleaning can be deducted as a
charitable donation (plus the resale value of the item itself).
Well, DUH! What idiot would donate something PRIOR to having it cleaned?
Eeeuuuwww. Gross. Come on. Typical donation item criteria is: it doesn't
fit, don't like it, don't wear it , blah, blah, but the item is IN GOOD
CONDITION, and clean or you GET IT CLEANED prior to donation. If you can't
meet those basic requirements, perhaps you should be getting donations
rather than giving them, ya think?
