I thought nobody would ever ask!
I know the answer just fine... there's just a few people around these parts who
seem to have trouble with that particular quandry.
They seem to be confusing someone else's words with mine. Are they stupid do
you think?
The funny thing is... If Cujo (Kevin Fries) can use his sherlock skills he used
to determine that my name is "Deni Scott" and I am someone else other then *me*,
I have offered to send the dumbshit a thousand bucks. Of course, he hasn't had
much to say about that...
Five!
St. Francis of Zappa told me so.
"Five, FIVE, F I V E!" on Shut Up And Play Your Guitar
It contains all the answers. They are all "five".

Although poignant, this information is incongruent with my Hitchhiker's Guide... Hace there been a new
updated edition released?
Names Oberg
Don' work fo MASA
There will be shortly. It will be published as a series of still
images strobed rapidly to give the illusions of motion. It will be
presented in semi-public forums where many people can read it at the
same time. It will take approximately 1.5 hours to read the entire
thing. It will be shown from one end to the other non-stop, with no
interruptions for commercial messages, in exactly the same way that a
television show is not broadcast. In lieu of packets of peanuts,
popcorn will be served.
THAT answer will, of course, remain "42", despite the fact that the
question is, as we all know, wrong. As such, "five" works just as
well.
Still planning on using the saucer to get yer ass outta here?
<smile>
Of course. I paid for my ticket, and I expect to use it.
I am, after all, Yetinsyn.
You know what they say about great expectations.
Who would have thought things would turn out as they have, eh?
PS: Cant fly, the sucker hua. I could have told you that 25 years ago if
you'd have asked nicely.
"The book was better than the movie"?

Anyone who bought their SubG saucer ticket. It's WHY we bought them.

25 years ago I was only concerned with making sure the nuclear alert
B-52s at my base would fly. Interestingly, my colleague here in my lab
was at that time in the Soviet army, and manned equipment that had my
birds flown, he might have been first to detect them.

} Were they still doing ROUND ROBIN and CHROME DOME missions at that
} time, then? Just curious...
Not where I was (KI Sawyer and Kincheloe). They were doing some SOW'S
EAR psyops, flying in crippled old D models to park on the pad for a
while, posing for the satellites.
KIS AFB was a giant pustle. While I was there (75-80), all the B52s
were H models, do not remember any D models (which does not mean that
they didn't fly in). Only cripple I saw back then was when they sent
the H model 0002 from Castle.
IIRC Chrome Dome was stopped after one of the crashes (Spain?) when
the bird had nukes.
I do remember when they started allowing Aeroflot flights to the US
and all the radio silence. Forgot the term they used but whenever an
Aeroflot flight was near all rf emmisions were shut down at the base.
I know there were some strange procedures that went on when the spy
sats went over. I know OMS had to drag a birds out of the nose docks
so they would be on the flight line for pictures.
Then there was all the fun with Navy project(s) Sanguine/Seafarer/Elf.

Everyone either loved it or hated it. The You Pee isn't for everyone.

That's when I was up there, the first half of the time at Kinch, until
they closed it.

I remember the bitching. After the fly over they got to pull them back
in to finish working on them.

And at Kinch, the Navy weather project, trying to force the clouds to
dump their snow over Superior rather than on the base. One time it
worked real well, except the wind shifted, and it snowed 11" in one
hour right on the base. The Orion that did the cloud seeding had to go
land at Sault Intl. because the snow was too thick, and there was too
much lightning. Nice pink and blue lightning.

Did hear about that one. LMAO. Kinch had a lot more snow than KIS
which I believe is one of the reasons it closed. I still remember the
State of Michigan looked at Kinch as a possible low or medium security
prison and decided the quality of the facilities (enlisted barracks)
were not good enough to house prisoners. I believe the rooms were too
small to house individual prisoners.
I was in the 410th AMS. Could not wait to get out of there, having
been raised in CA that kind of country and weather was not my cuppa
tea.

One of the towns nearby had the record for most snow east of the
Rockies, 240" in a year.
I saw it snow there every month of the year except July. Not to say it
never did, just not the years I was there.

They were too small for two prisoners was the problem, despite the
fact they held two airmen.
And they weren't carpeted. The state tried to tell the feds they
wouldn't accept them unless they were carpeted first. The feds finally
said "OK fine, we can just tear them down". Construction started
before the base actually closed.

I was into fishing and finding wild food and shit so I liked it, but
most didn't.
I was at Kinch for 6 months after closure on the caretaker force. I
showed up at work for a whole week in civvies and nobody said a word.
