FedEx tracking question?

Does anyone know if it is possible to confirm that a FedEx shipment was
received if you don't have a tracking number? I went to the office I shipped
the package from and they said no. I called 1-800-GO-FEDEX and they said it
wasn't possible. Am I getting the straight story from them or would it do me
any good to ask for a supervisor and put up a stink? Thanks in advance.

The tracking number should have been given to you by the office where
you shipped it at the time you shipped it. Do you have any receipts?
Did you ask them to provide "proof of delivery" - but you will need
some type of receipt number or a copy of your receipt to do this - how
do they know that you are the sender?

I was given a receipt when I shipped the package but I can't find it. I
didn't ask for "proof of delivery".
I would think that it would be possible for FedEx to search their records by
either the sender's name or the recipients name. Do you know if this is
possible?
