Innovative Thinking Convergence
The Conference for Both Sides of Your Brain<D>
April 9 - 12, 1995 - Santa Barbara, CA
*** A Feast for Your Left Brain:
Over 50 different sessions -- learn the latest, practical
techniques for improving innovative thinking, problem solving,
team thinking, and organizational creativity ... each session
leader will share ideas and experiences and then facilitate
a group session to discuss ways to implement the ideas in your
particular situation.
Six special interest tracks -- choose the sessions most
appropriate to your needs:
Tools & Techniques for Groups;
Personal Growth Tools & Techniques;
Creating the Innovative Environment;
Technology, Communication & Future Trends;
Marketing Innovation and Creativity;
Training and Group Facilitation.
Six Experiential Sessions -- these 2 1/2 hour sessions will
allow you to experience specific idea generation and problem
solving techniques while focusing on a real situation.
Innovative Leaders and Companies -- Four innovative leaders will
explain how they've fostered innovation in their organizations.
The most innovative companies of 1994 will be recognized and
honored for their efforts.
"Open Mike" and "Pirate" Sessions -- short, spontaneous sessions
that stimulate a broad base of idea sharing. If you have something
you want to share, there will be a time and place for you.
ITN Idea Book -- all participants will be asked to contribute
3 ideas they've used to encourage innovation and creativity.
These will be collected into a spiral bound book and given to
all participants.
Facilitated Action Plans -- take home a specific action plan
for implementing conference ideas in your organization.
Spend time with the industry's leaders including authors of
numerous books and software packages, leading consultants
and trainers, and successful corporate change masters.
:) :) :) A Wonderland for Your Right Brain:
Four Star Facility -- An enchanting, beach-front resort
(recently voted one of the country's top 20 resorts).
Guaranteed to stimulate fresh ideas and rejuvenate tired psyches.
Co-Creating -- In teams and as a network we will create a
structure, a book of ideas for improving organizational
innovation, and a travelling Innovative Thinking Mural.
We'll also plot the future of ITN, develop a curriculum
for a "world class thinking organization," and brainstorm
solutions to a major social issue.
Gifting -- Adopting the Russian tradition of showering
visitors and friends with small gifts, we will shower
each other with ideas, tips, inspiration and small gifts.
(Plan on bringing about 25 small gifts ... these can be
corporate items such as pins/pens or t-shirts, home town
specialties or anything else that represents you or your
company. Imagination should speak louder than dollars.)
Music -- Experience music as a learning aid, a relaxation
tool, and just plain fun. Bring your musical instruments
and share your talent.
Color -- Stretch your right brain with computer graphics,
watercolor, mural painting and the extravagant color of
the flower-filled, Santa Barbara coast and mountains.
Play -- In between sessions you'll have time to throw
frisbees, dance, learn to juggle, drum, create and act
in skits, or just lounge in the sun.
Door Prizes -- software, books, toys, and creative
contributions from attendees will add to the fun and excitement.
Expand Your Horizons -- explore your intuition, stretch your
metaphorical thinking, hone your visual thinking skills
and expand all seven multiple intelligences.
Discover the magic of freeing your right brain.
