Greetings, on November 9, 1998 the KCPD shot Timothy Wilson a 13 yr. old
Black Male/Child, under the auspice of they feared for their lives. One
year ago today the KCPD were in a car chase with Timothy Wilson who was
driving a white pick-up truck of a friend who let him drive the truck,
knowning Timothy was not of legal age. The KCPD chased Timothy to 18th &
Brighton where the truck Timothy was driving was stuck in the mud & the kops
surrended the truck & fired eleven(11)shots at Timothy, hitting him five
times and the dog in the truck with him four times. Then the KCPD start on a
course of cover-up which is the norm, when kops across this kountry murder
innocent people. Articles from The Call(so-called black paper) & The Kansas
City "Trash" Star revealed some damming evidence as to what really happen on
November 9, 1998. First the kops pretend they did not know who was driving
the truck,yet, the kops said they were banging on the window telling him to
get out of the truck and did not see this was a 95lb. child? The kops said
the mirror of the truck knocked one of the kops down & they feared their
partner may have been run over, by the truck thats stuck in the mud.
Nunn(knee-grow)said in an article(11-12-98)in the KC "Trash" Star "When
somebody is trying to injure you, it doesn't make any difference from an
emotional standpoint that later on you find out this is a juvenile", he
said. "There was no way the officers could tell who was inside. There are
some things that are just unknown to you." "But the bottom line is if
someone is trying to hurt you, then that's the issue you are trying to deal
with".
Timothy's motha revealed in an article(11-13-11-19-98)in The Call, that
Timothy & some of his friends had filed a citizens complaint against some
kops for harassment & one of the kops involved in the shooting was named in
Timothy's citizen complaint. Remember, they said they did not know who was
driving the truck,yet,in an article from the KC "Trash" Star(1-8-98)where
portions of the 11-9-98 police radio transcript which states: 12:23am
OFFICER:"We've got a white ford pickup truck traveling northbound, 25th &
Wheeling..."DISPATCHER:"What are you trying to do,stop it?"OFFICER:"Yes,
it's occupied by a juvenile male. He's westbound on 23rd Street." A Short
Time later.OFFICER:"Be advised he attempted to strike us and it looks like
it's occupied by a 12-year-old juvenile, 15th Terrace and
Topping,eastbound."DISPATCHER:"...Copy, has assault on a police officer and
a juvenile driver."OFFICER:"We're now primary. Also tried to run us over".
In this same article, was a copy of the shooting scene that showed the truck
Timothy was driving, a police car behind the truck, two kops on the
passenger side of the truck & four kops on the driver side of the truck,
according to this diagram that was furnished by the KCPD, there are no kops
in front of the truck or behind the truck, so when was Timothy trying to run
these kops over? The first thing police department across this kountry do is
to dig into the victims background in order to justify the murder they have
committed. In an article(11-11-98)in the KC "Trash" Star the headlines
read:"Teen Shot by Police lived a troubled life"? We must began to attack
the lame excuses such as they feared for their life, they had drugs in their
system or on their person, in the automobile,they thought they had a gun &
they were reaching for something.
How many teens don't live a troubled life, & so what, what does a troubled
life have to do with kops killing innocent people? In an article(11-8-99)in
the KC "Trash" Star, it was revealed that the KCPD have destroyed evidence
concerning Timothy Wilson case, in light of the Attorney requesting that no
evidence be destroyed. As we all know, Timothys motha will not receive
justice in her wrongful death suit for the murder of her son. The kops
involved in the shooting, were "ALL" found not guilty of any wrong doing in
the murder of Timothy Wilson. Now watch, what normally happens when jack
booted thungs kill innocent people, they move up in the rakes within the
police departments, these four will do the same. i must ask, those of you
who will read this article, "Haven't You Had Enough Yet"? Will we continue
to sit back & watch our children, husbands, sons, daughters etc. murdered at
the hands of kops across this kountry? We, "THE PEOPLE", must unit our
forces & fight back against these evil forces, because as you can see,
police brutality is touching not just black & brown lives, its reaching
across the kolor line & will only get worse if we do not stop this maddness.
Some suggestion for stopping this maddness: Citizens Review Boards with the
"POWER" to conduct a full investigation with subpoena power & the authority
to remove any kops found guilty of abusing their power,& do not settle for
anything less, because if we do, its only symbolism with no substance;
Residency Requirement; Community based training for all police officer; Cash
rewards for the exposure, arrest, conviction of corrupt kops; Congressional
Public Hearings; Mandatory Drug Testing for all police officers; Zero
Tolerance for substance abuse by police officers; Integrity Tests; Annual
psychological evaluations. These recommendations came from a former Black
FBI Agent Tyrone Powers, who also was a Maryland State Trooper. i believe
these are attainable solutions, not saying that it won't be a battle,
because it will, however, "THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE", will conquer all. We
need to zero in on implementing these solutions in one city, perfect it &
duplicate it across this kountry & be prepared to force politicians to
withhold any federal funding from any city with high police brutality. As
you go about your day today, remember our little man/child that was taken
away from us much to early & hold his family up in your prayers.

Family of boy killed by police says department destroyed evidence

The attorney for the family of a boy killed by Kansas City police officers
has accused police of destroying key evidence to hinder the family's
lawsuit against the Police Department.
Timothy Wilson, 13, was shot to death by police last November after a car
chase. His mother, Valerie Collins, filed a wrongful-death lawsuit in
Jackson County Circuit Court.
Michael Fletcher, the family's attorney, said in court documents filed
Friday that police department officials ignored his request, made one month
after the shooting, not to alter or destroy any evidence in the case.
Instead, police responded with "the intentional destruction of evidence for
the purposes of obstructing justice," according to Fletcher's court filing.
Police spokesman Sgt. Floyd Mitchell said the department would not comment
on the accusation.
According to the filing, crime scene technician Deborah Hagen told Fletcher
in an Oct. 28 deposition that she had destroyed her crime-scene notes two
months after the shooting.
Hagen's notes included interviews with the police officers involved in the
shooting, according to Fletcher's filing.
"The police attorney had express direction not to destroy evidence,"
Fletcher said. "That evidence is now gone forever. These were the first
notes taken by anyone concerning this event, and they're gone."
Fletcher said the notes included information regarding Timothy's gun and
the location of police officers when they opened fire.
"Said ... information is invaluable in ascertaining the truth in this
case," Fletcher wrote in his filing. "The information is particularly
invaluable in light of the various inconsistent statements the defendants
have given regarding their actions during the Timothy Wilson shooting."
A grand jury that investigated the case found no evidence of police
wrongdoing in the shooting. After a six-month FBI inquiry, federal
prosecutors declined to press federal civil rights charges against the
officers involved.
Fletcher wants the court to order the Police Department to pay "reasonable
expenses, including attorneys' fees," as a penalty for allegedly allowing
the evidence to be destroyed.
"We're looking for the court to say, `This is a severe violation, and it
deserves a serious penalty,' " Fletcher said.
