Palestinian security officer shot dead in northern West Bank
NABLUS, West Bank, Feb 14 (AFP) -
A Palestinian security officer was shot dead, reportedly by Israelis, in
the northern West Bank Wednesday as he drove between the Palestinian-run
cities of Tulkarem and Nablus, hospital officials said.
Ayed Abu Harb, a 25-year-old staff sergeant in the Palestinian naval
security service, died in a Tulkaren hospital, officials there said.
Residents in the area told AFP that Abu Harb was shot as he drove through a
closed area between Nablus and Tulkarem where Israeli soldiers are posted.
