There are remarkable parallels between the CIA's psychological
torture technique (sensory deprivation and "self-induced" pain, see
"A Question of Torture" by McCoy) and modern obstetrical abuse
causing other-induced pain and mother, touch and life-long sexual
sensory deprivation. The former creates self-alienation and
self-directed rage, the latter causes sociopathy, alienation,
passivity and other-directed rage. A tool of social control.
I've come to believe this is a major pillar of the patriarchy,
having the same function as the witch trials of centuries ago.
