I am delighted to report that according to the Associated Press
militiaman William James Hudson, the leader of the Alabama Free Militia,
has been indicted today on further firearms charges.
Other members of the Alabama Free Militia have already plead guilty to
numerous charges.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP)-- The leader of the North Alabama-based Alabama
Free Militia was indicted on weapons charges Tuesday in U.S. District Court.
Federal authorities said 56-year-old William James Hudson was indicted
on two counts of failing to register a firearm and one count each of
conspiring to make and possess and improvised explosive projectile,
aiding and abetting others in making improvised explosive projectiles
and conspiring with others to make, transfer and possess a machine gun.
The self-appointed colonel of the anti-government militia, Hudson was
arrested June 27th at his home in Birmingham. He was denied bond last month.
If convicted on all charges, Hudson could face up to 35 years in prison,
fines totaling $1 million or both.
Five other men were arrested along with Hudson after authorities found
hundreds of weapons in DeKalb, Etowah, Marshall and Jefferson counties.
The arrests were the result of a continuing investigation.
