In case you didn't get the email: (Sorry for the late posting. I was
not aware this was going on until yesterday.)
Students interested in Accounting & Consulting –
You’ve seen the publicity about this semester’s info booths & who was
participating. This email is a bit more info on this week’s session,
since it’s different from all of the others & is also different from
what the accounting/consulting firms have done in the past.
The big firms who recruit at UM are doing a “pre-recruiting” visit
this week. This visit is as important as an actual interview & will
impact each firm’s plans for future internship & full-time hires.
Plan to attend! It is important if you are interested in a
particular organization - that they have a chance to meet you in
person before you apply formally for a job or an internship with
them. It can be a key competitive advantage to have them already know
who you are. This is particularly true now, as GPA requirements are
likely to rise, given the job market.
This new combined info session will be this Thursday, 4/9, from
5:00-7:00pm in GBB 106. Each firm will do a 15-minute presentation &
then break into a social/networking gathering for an hour, so students
can visit with representatives from each firm during that time.
Participating Firms & the representatives who are attending:
Deloitte – Amanda Willott, Campus Recruiting
PWC – Mandy Stevens, Northwest Campus Recruiting
Moss Adams – Stefanie Langfeldt, Recruiting Manager
KPMG – Jeff Appelt, Billings Audit Manager
It’s also a great time to visit with Moss Adams about their Summer
Leadership Institute. Don’t miss out!
