Hello Everyone

Please find below message and attached document regarding the TERP10 certification from Prof Thompson.

Hi All

I want to extend a great opportunity to all of you current students or those of you that have graduated as either Graduate or Under-Graduate students that are either members of MISA, SAP Users Group or AITP a Fantastic Opportunity and have taken at least one SAP related course.

University Professors that are certified via the SAP University Alliance Membership of Universities are qualified to teach TERP 10 Certification in "Business Processes in ERP (Associate Level)".

This is a first time 2 week course that will be offered in May 11 thru 21, 2009 at the University of Texas @ Dallas.

There are currently openings in the class. I need you to let me know if you can commit to this 10 day course that requires 8 hours per day in class room training, plus additional hours on your time after class on your own each day for homework and study.

You must let me know by April 1, 2009 if you can commit to these dates and workload and confirm by payment of $1,000 dollars on or before April 10, 2009. This is a great cost that SAP offers because the regular price of this out side of University Alliance Students is $8,000 dollars (90% Savings)!

The value added is that this gives you a competitive advantage over other potential internship or full-time SAP opportunities in the SAP work force that do not have this certification.

If you are interested and can pay the cost please let me know by April 1, 2009 via the following paragraph provided. After notification that you can attend, I must have your money in the form of only in Cash, Certified Check, or Money Order to secure you seat in the class.

Based on the success of this class other TERP 10 Certification Classes may be offered but there is no guarantee when they will be offered and the time frame. Also all future classes will be only 1 month only self study (E-Learning & 1 week of class room training) going forward. UTD is the only University that is allowed to offer this two week training all in the classroom this year of 2009. Don't put this off if you can take it now and like full classroom training only.

Please read the attached detailed flyer on the TERP 10 Certification Program Offering.

This message is from Professor Ragh (SOM Information Systems Area Coordinator)

Good Afternoon,

I am sending you this e-mail to provide you with important information regarding the reclassification of the MS in Information Technology and Management program as a Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) discipline.  As many of you already know, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved the reclassification of the MS ITM program as a STEM discipline effective September 1st 2008.  The reclassification makes program graduates eligible for up to 29 months of optional practical training (OPT).  It has recently been brought to my attention that the change is not scheduled to be implemented until Fall 2009.  Consequently, Fall 2008, Spring 2009, and Summer 2009 graduates may not have an opportunity to take advantage of this reclassification.  This issue is beyond the control of the Information Systems area; however, you may want to contact and or visit the Registrar's Office directly to express your concern and determine if the implementation date of the change can be expedited.  Thanks.

Raghu
