Is PTA functional? I recall that a number of issues were raised by the parents here but they do not seem to have been resolved. Now, I understand that not all issues can be addressed but I expect that they would be debated and pursued by the parents' representatives and the school administration and then the conclusions would be communicated to the parents. I am in the dark on any progress on these. In particular, I would like to see some debate/progress on the following concerns:

1. Parking problem for parents picking up walkers
2. Saturday as a weekend
3. Consistent communication of a summary of the classroom activity/syllabus from the teachers to the parents
4. Stress on hands-on short-term as well as long-term project based assignments
5. Pushing winter school-timings later (by an hour or so)

Thank you. Hope to hear more on this soon.

I understand the school has developed a large parking area inside but yes, it would be difficult to imagine that all vehicles would fit inside.
Saturday off has been debated over years together but school has never agreed. Mother's school starts at 8 which is later than most schools so perhaps most parents will not even agree to such a thought.
Yes, I agree that teachers need to be more communicative. They merrily give worst marks in practical subjects to children with no communication of what is expected and what went wrong , which points at arbitrary marking on their part.
We need to have consensus between parents so that PTA can take it up.
