Dear Dr. Sujit Bannerjee,
Yes in fact if you could take the petition forward to the chairman it would be great. Surely we should not all be writing to him individually.

There are about 1000 signatures on the petition currently.
If you let me know, I can email you the petition with signatures as a pdf file.
