I have noticed that the students are wearing at least 4-5 different school uniforms-
navy blue shorts/light blue shirte
light blue sports shorts/white tshirt
white full pant and white shirt
white shorts and white shirt
There is a salwar/kameez for girls

In the past there was a sports uniform and one regular school uniform-nowa days students are wearing whatever they like from among the above. I am confused...

Also  once again the winter uniform is being changed by the school-

I suggest that we request for  one regular uniform/one sports uniform for summers and winters to avoid confusion and unnecessary expenses.

Pl suggest and advice

I totally agree with Juhi. Student are wearing whatever they like and are very casual about their looks. Some of the small schools on other hand are very carefull about the way the student dress up and represent their school. The discipline should show up not only in the uniform part but also in the attitute and body language which I believe is certainly lacking in many of the MIS students.

Thanks Laxmi, your mail makes me feel better-here I want to initiate a larger question for everyone's response-over the past years many of us have felt that those students who dress "normally" and follow orders whether in uniform or other matters are "branded" as "nerds" and "not cool". This has a huge role to play in bullying of those who do not fit the bill and are therefore excluded from the "groups". I have seen this happen very closely and the complacence of teachers and those in authority gives the signal that "students can get away with anything and everything".

This  for me is closely related to the issue of discipline in school. I firmly believe that we are sent to institutions like schools to learn certain  traits which play an important role in shaping our personality. School life can be fun and joyous but we cannot undermine the values of mutual respect, discipline and organisation. I feel sad that MIS is unable to address this concern.
