Problems with Pickup every afternoon
I want to bring to your attention that the footpath outside the school on the Aurobindo Road side has been dug up for 2 months, and today manholes were also open! The guard lets the parents with cars in till 1:30 for pickup and then does not let parents come in and park, however now my daughter is in 6th so we are forced to park outside where the kids have a tough time walking on the footpath.
Please help us find a solution so parents can drive in and park from the other gate even after 1:30, or bring to someone's attention that the footpath needs fixing urgently!
Thanks,
Mila Mitra

    Dear Mr Bannerjee

*Mindspark should NOT be discontinued* since it is an innovative tool to
increase mental ability, and analytical aptitude of students. I don't think
we should go by opinion of a few vociferous parents, and request the school
management to seek feedback from all parents, and then take a final call.

While we all go on vacation or dine outside, we never worry about
frittering away a few thousand bucks.

Sir - this needs your urgent intervention. We are for Mindspark to
continue, and at best it can be made optional.

    Kindly help!!

    Regards

MIS-3 has the highest no of stops with Max load. Needs to make it 5 stops,
in line with other bus routes. Its very urgent.

Try Khan Academy www.khanacademy.org it is much superior and better than Mindspark.

Amit is no longer the dealing person. He has uniformly created confusion in most of the Bus Routes. Worse initially he tried to cover up the mess created by saying Mr Bhalla has personally surveyed the routes and these are frozen
which eventually was far removed from the actual situation. He cannot instruct the Driver since he does not have the requisite authority only either Mr Bhalla or Mr Venugopal can do so but only in writing to the DTC Depot Manager.

In Amit's place you can contact Mr HariOm in the office as well as take up the matter personally with Mr Bhalla (Vice Principal) and Mr Venugopal (Manager). They are more receptive and do agree that the routes need to be further streamlined. Do also send them a mail through the parent portal and also at...@misms.net.in.

What actually Amit has done is reduced almost 5 routes of the previous academic session thereby increasing the pressure on the remaining routes. Worse all the previous Drivers and Conductors have also been changed. DTC HQ is seized of the matter but is helpless as the School has made the routes and unless the school formally writes to the respective Depot Managers viz Vasant Vihar and Kalkaji from where the buses originate no change can be made.
The problem area for DTC was Munirka DDA flat where low floor buses could not enter whereas the non low floor buses could enter. The solution was to let the non low floor buses operate on this route.

The PTA is also seized of the matter. The solution is simple torestore the previous academic bus routes which will ensure that the children reach home latest by 2.40 p.m instead of 3.10 p.m at present. In the case of your ward they are already in the Bus by 1.50 p.m wheras the bus reaches only at 3.10. An agonising travel of 1.20hours in the scorching heat for ayoung child is energy sapping . If this core issue is addressed automatically the routes should fall in place.

Subject: MIS 4 BUS ROUTE CONFUSION AND REQUESTING FOR A VIABLE ROUTE

     Dear Mr.Banerjee,

This is regarding another bus route mismanagement and this time it is MIS-4. The bus takes the route of Safdarjung Enclave    area and Green Park area along with the SDA. In the morning Bus takes the route Kamal Cinema, Safdarjung Enclave, Deer Park, etc. There is no problem in that though my ward (board from Green Fields School, SJ Enclave) has now to reach the stop 10 minutes earlier than her previous timings. But on return, if the bus takes it scheduled route, which is longer also and also has several traffic lights, jams, etc. my ward reaches at the stop at 3.10 pm. My ward is in Class-II and become very painfullest to cover that extra half-hour.

However, if the bus takes it morning route of first coming to Kamal Cinema, then Safdarjung Enclave, Deer Park, etc, my ward reaches at the stand 2.35-2.40 pm. Good half an hour earlier. Also, the children dropping at Deer Park reaches maximum by 2.50 pm (hardly five minutes difference if the bus followed the scheduled route). It will be convenient for all the children. We have conveyed the same to the Bus Driver and he also agrees on the same.

Initially the bus plied on the same route for both morning and afternoon. But few days back on instruction of Mr.Amit, the bus route was changed to its longer scheduled route. We tried to contact Mr.Amit on the phone, but he is mostly unreachable. We convey our plight to the Bus Driver, and he comes on the shorter route. But again Mr. Amit has changed the route to longer one. I  don't understand why Mr.Amit does not take into parent considerations too when deciding on a route of a Bus? Or at least he should listen to the parent's concern.

Dear Mr.Banerjee, it is request from all of the aggrieved parents of MIS-4 to kindly take this issue of bus route mismanagement to concerned authority and resolved it at the earliest so that no children suffers. I particularly want to seek your attention to the fact that there are at least 4-5 children belonging to Primary Section who board from Safdarjung Enclave and Kamal Cinema, and they are also the harassed lot.

    With Regards,

    SB

While this issue pertains only to "walkers," that's a large fraction of the student population (with increased focus on admission from the nearby areas) facing the problem. I second it.
