On the occasion of earth hour here are some questions on your
electricity consumption:

Lights:
Are the 5 most used lights in your home CFLs? They should be.
Are you using 40W tube lights or the brighter and more efficient 28W
T5 tube lights?

Geysers:
Can you believe that a geyser at 2000W is the equivalent of switching
on 130 lights in your house!?
Do you mix cold water with the hot water that comes out of the
geyser?
If you are, that's wasting the hot water that remains in the geyser.
So it's better to turn down the geysers thermostat so that you don't
need to mix cold water.
When's the last time you got this big power consumer serviced? That
includes your a/c, fridge.

Rainwater Harvesting:

Have you installed rain water harvesting system in your house or
apartment yet? Water is going to be the next big frontier for all
conflicts, so please help save it.

If you are part of an organisation, help spread the same. I was
recently forwarded a simple game to spread the awareness.
