NaN for infit statistics with missing values

to mirt-package

I'm using mirt version 1.41 and when I try to calculate 'infit' statistics with

itemfit(x, fit_stats = 'infit')

I get all NaNs for any item that has even a single NaN. Does anyone else have this issue and can offer a solution?
