multi-beam planing

Dear Prof. Luis,

Can I suggest to add some options for “multi-beam planing”?

Can you consider to add “swath overlay percentage” setting? Sometime we have to add overlay percentage between two lines.

Can you consider to add another way to  show swath wide? Now, swath wide is shown by gray bar, but it difficult to use for a continue track plan. Because the gray bar is always vertical with previous line. So, if the gary bar can be change to circle, it will be easy tracked in any next direction.

Regarding the first request I don't see it's need. Remember that you can always increase/decrease the "Swath ratio" and above all when you do the planing you can pick points such that the horizontal bars between two contiguous tracks overlap a certain amount. I don't know how you intend to use this tool but if you never did it on board (I did) please do not expect it to give you a very exact planing. You will be perhaps surprised how the Capitan would receive the "wavy" planning that we get from such tools. Navigation staff just want coordinates of straight lines.
I could look to the circles request but that is not high in my job list queue. Draw more bars and than they will tend to align well.
