Today I installed valorant, started it and got a message that it needs TPM 2 and secure boot enabled. Secure boot was still enabled at the time, and I played valorant with only windows 10 installed before this setup.
I am using msi motherboardHaving windows 11After i went to bios to enable secure boot for the valorant's requirement. The I saved and exit the bios setting, then the computer starting restarting and keep on restarting itself every 5s endlessly. The screen doesnt even appear and I cannot even access to bios setting to undo
last week I try to play VALORANT but it came up with error of secure boot and TPM 2.0 but I enable TPM2.0 and I operate window 11 but when I try to enable secure boot I can't I see many video to turn off fast boot from power option(after shut down window) and try to Load HP Factory Default Keys but not able to load HP Factory key and I see a option of legacy boot is enable and secure boot turn off. My BIOS mode is UEFI some one plz help me to solve me this error. I also see that in my window defender Memory integrity option turn on so this a part of secure boot or not. Anyone have any solution of this problem so plz share it.
So I'm enable TPM 2.0 and update to window 11 but not able to turn on secure boot from BIOS I try all the method and turn off fast boot from power option and also try to restore HP keys from bios but not able to restore HP key from bios and not able to turn on secure boot.
so any new method we will try to turn on secure boot in my machine so I will try but safe method not any dangerous or unsecure method that harm to my laptop and my personal data which is lost by using that method.
But I'm afraid that reinstall game in not solve my problem and I check update and I install latest version of window 11 and turn off discord start boot but not resolve my problem. But I found a problem why this happen but I need your help to solve this problem. Plz check below images which I have a found a error
2) System config I don't know what change need in it but you look in that pic you found something that solve my problem.
so plz help me to change that legacy to secure boot to solve error and we solve the error and I change boot option to secure boot so can I turn off legacy option or just turn on both boot Secure and legacy turn on?
I basically want to check whether secure boot is enabled using a python script. Based on my research this data is apparently not exposed to the operating system. However games like valorant are able to check this data. So is there any way to programmatically check this data
Get booted after login - Getting error 1067 "This build of vanguard needs TPM 2.0 and secure boot enabled". Seems to be alot of recent threads on Reddit with people saying the same thing. please fix. how am i meant to work from home if i actually need to work.
i got the same problem , it seems that reseting the tpm works getting you into the game only for like a minute before popping the error , i tried as far as unninstaling the latest update , reinstalling the game , reinstalling graphics . switching tpm on and off from the bios so far no improvements
Hi guys , you need to have both TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot enabled via BIOS. For TPM probably u all have Enabled but Secure boot is different. So go to your Bios and find your Secure Boot if u don't have it or you cannot find it it is probably off and you need to find CSM option ---- CSM - Enabled ----- if it is like that u are good to go. Switch CSM to disable and restart your PC, enter BIOS again and you will have Secure Boot and Enable it. That is it.
BE AWARE YOUR C: DRIVE MUST BE IN GPT FORMAT . BE AWARE THAT YOUR CSM MUST BE ENABLED ALSO BEFORE DOING ANY OF STEPS. ( MATTER OF LEGACY AND UEFI MODE ) .
ONCE YOU VERIFY THAT YOUR CSM IS ENABLED YOU CAN PROCEED.
YOU MAY HAVE AN ERROR THAT YOU CAN NOT ENABLE SECURE BOOT ONLY IN USER MODE IN THIS CASE CHANGE YOUR SECURE BOOT MODE FROM CUSTOM TO STANDARD AND THEN ENABLE SECURE MODE.
I worked on Gigabyte Motherboard but more or less it is the same. Hope it helps
Me too same error. After updated to windows 11 , Then i reinstalled valorant but nothing happened. I have TPM 2.0 still also it says vanguard needs TPM 2.0 and secure boot enabled. Please fix this issue.
@ "and now im permanently suspended from playing valorant, this is so hustle i dont recommend in installing atlas os when you are playing valorant guys Ast3risk-ops"#p2886 i just installed the atlas os and I've experiencing this issue even i have windows 10 it shows that i need to turn on tpm2.0 and secure boot but i dont have that because i have low specs
Raizuu Well whatever happened did save you from installing a backdoor into your PC (it's called Vanguard), however I have next to no info on what's actually going on so you can't blame me or Atlas for not letting us help you.
I installed VALORANT and I want to play it but every time I load it up it says something about secure boot. I have done research and stuff and I've gone into BIOS and the secureboot is enabled but under it, it says 'Not Active'. How do I fix this?(I took pictures of the BIOS but its too big of a file to add here :( )Windows 11GIGABYTE motherboard
Hi da_B1GM4CYou should just disable secure boot,If you enable secure boot then you should create a password for this, but once you forget boot password your computer dead,so easy way to solve your issue just disable secure boot option.hope you find useful.
Hello,Thank you for posting in Q&A forum. Before taking further action, can you let us know what's the detailed error regarding secure boot?If you start the machine in Secure boot mode, the firmware checks the signature of each piece of boot software, including VALORANT installed. As a result, it will affect the application running status. You can follow below steps to disable secure boot :Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Device Security and check if Secure Boot is listed as "On."Best Regards,Hania Lian
i recently wanted to start playing valorant again so i launch up the game and get an error code van 1067 i created a ticket and say said i have to enable TPM 2.0 i did (MSI click bios 5) but in the bios it shows that there is a device found for 2.0 and whatever when i go into tpm.msc in windows it says device not found so i did some digging and found out i dont have any TPM drivers where or how do i get them i just want to play valorant ( in device manager under security devices there was something called AMD PSP 3.0 device and idk what to do can someone please tell me/ show me where or how to fix this issue thanks !

I know from going through this with my nephew that Valorant requires BOTH TPM and Secure Boot to be enabled. Without your specific motherboard it would be difficult to instruct you how to enable secure boot in your BIOS. You should google search this.
Good thing i never tried to play Valorant. These requirements are obnoxious at least, and i, personally don't want to have ticking time encryption bomb that can break from some ass update be enabled on my PC.
In the BIOS
After activating Security Device Supported, save and restart the bios. The current version of the TPM will be displayed on the screen. In Windows 10
Enter the Windows + R command and open "tpm.msc". The current version will be presented in the "TPM Management" Windows 11 needs the PC Health Check utility.
I have at least 5 MSI boards, X470 - MEG X570 ACE. One of the posts suggested the compatibility of the 2000 series CPU, but rest assured it is compatible with TPM. I am running a Ryzen 7 2700 on an MSI MPG X570 Gaming board and if your running Win 11 the TPM must be present for installation of that OS.
I can't check anything for you with my X470 because I had a failed BIOS update on it when it was still under warranty, that's why I have the MPG X570 board now, and the X470 is still in the box when I got it back. I'm not certain if I was running Win 11 on that board or not, definitely Win 10. I am assuming that your system is about the same as my original components with the X470 board. I just looked at the X470 manual and it mentions absolutely nothing about TPM. I would be willing to venture a guess that it is not the TPM2 module and probably TPM1.
Not out of the box, but in theory, yes.
An online search for "linux secure boot shim" returns some promising results, e.g.

Managing EFI Boot Loaders for Linux: Dealing with Secure Boot
That said, it would be some work, and one better know what he's doing (I wouldn't, so I'm unable to help you do it).
Unless something has changed in the last year, I do not think it is possible without using 3rd party software. I have done it with Arch using Systemd-boot and sbctl. There is other 3rd party software out there but I have never tried them.
Thanks. I asked it for installing garuda in one of my friend's laptop as dual boot alongside windows. In my laptop I only use Garuda as main OS so I have disabled secure boot but his windows doesn't work when I disable secure boot.
My bad on that actually. If I remember correctly for you to be able to use Windows without Secure Boot it must be off before Windows is installed. That said I know Linux can now be installed while using Secure Boot, or tweaking the OS after install and then enabling Secure Boot. That however is for others that have more experience than I.
Hey thanks for all those links. I somehow managed to install it with secure boot enabled and both Windows and Garuda is working finely on my friend's machine. Yeah the person is my good friend. I am just trying to write a script that automates the process. If I am successful, I will definitely like to share it with the garuda devs. Maybe, they will eventually find a way to integrate it in the installer so that it would be easier for other users. By the way if you enable secure boot you will have to go through the hassle of signing any new kernel modules you install manually.
