Dear all,
I would like to measure the continuum emission and its error from a data cube which includes both line and continuum channels. How can I do that? I think 'uvlin' requires uv data set as an input. However, I like to measure the continuum emission from fully calibrated (but not continuum subtracted) data cubes. Because some data cubes that I have are from different arrays other than CARMA. It seems that 'contsub' works with data cubes. As far as I understand, contsub extracts the continuum from a data cube and outputs a continuum image. Do you think it is ok using only contsub for this purpose? And what would you say about measuring continuum emission and its error from that cont. image created by contsub?
