miriad virtual box also available

One of the new things we are making available for miriad is a virtualbox
image
(see e.g. http://virtualboxes.org/).
The VirtualBox program itself is available for all platforms
(Lin,Mac,Win) and
you point to a .vdi image to start - in this case - Ubuntu 12.04
preloaded with
a programming environment for miriad. The user account is miriad (also
opened by default) and the password is school13.

In the ftp directory ftp://ftp.astro.umd.edu/progs/carma/miriad_2013.7/
you can find the vdi or vdi.7z (compressed, you need "7z x FILE" to
uncompress)
images for this.

Some minor updates have already been made, so the easiest way to update
your miriad is with the command

mirupdate

ds9, kpvslice (karma) are all present.
