Absolutely not working, any clues?

I'm using version 0.6.7 of Miranda - one of the new unicode versions.
Does the GDS plugin just not support unicode and so absolutely not
work with this version?

I haven't tested it with 0.6.7, however it uses ONLY Unicode API, can you describe steps to reproduce?

1. Install Miranda-GDS-V2 by copying two dlls (db2gds.dll and m2g.dll)
into my C:\Program Files\Miranda IM\Plugins directory. File details:
db2gds.dll 77,824 bytes, mod: 2006-07-29 m2g.dll 86,016 bytes, mod:
same.

2. Restart Miranda, go to Options > Plugins and tick the boxes next to
both DLLs.

3. Restart Miranda, explain to friends why I'm bouncing on/off line :)

4. Select Menu > Export to GDS, click Next, go down the list and
select each one of my friends (wish for a "Select All" button :),
click Next, click Next, watch the progress indicators make it look
like it's importing all my conversation history, select "Do not load
the gds DB index plugin at startup again" checkbox, click Finish.

5. Try searching for something in a recent conversation in my GDS, and
I get no results that are Miranda conversations.

6. Restart Miranda, out of desperation, explain to other friends why
I'm bouncing.

7. Restart GDS in total desperation.

8. Check Preferences, yes "Miranda IM (Indexes chat conversations)" is
checked in my preferences.

9. Try checking "Chats" in the main section just in case.

10. Enter a new message to someone, and search for that just in case
the db2gds.dll is broken, but the m2g.dll works, retry searching,
still nothing.

I can't work it out :(

Thanks for the detailed steps to repro. Could you also let me know your
versions of Miranda.exe, db2gds.dll, m2g.dll and GDS?

miranda32.exe: 0.6.7
db2gds.dll: no version in DLL, but came in the same ZIP as the m2g.dll
and has the same modified time (as reported in previous message)
m2g.dll: 1.0.0.1
GDS: 5.0.0701.18382-en-pb and 5.1.0703.10634-en-pb
