ELECTION MEDITATION
We will be doing this Election Meditation here at MiraclesOne in our Chapel at 10 am and 7 pm Central Time. Wherever you are you can join us at those times.

Begin by taking a few deep breaths to relax your body, emotions and mind; breathe in peace and stillness, letting go of the past, letting go of the future, and allowing yourself to be fully present in this moment ….(pause)
Jesus tells us in A Course in Miracles: In any situation in which you are uncertain, the first thing to consider, very simply, is "What do I want to come of this? What is it for?" The clarification of the goal belongs at the beginning, for it is this which will determine the outcome.
And so now inwardly affirm your highest intention for this meditation. Use Lesson 205 from A Course in Miracles:
Lesson 205 - I want the peace of God.
The peace of God is everything I want. The peace of God is my one goal; the aim of all my living here, the end I seek, my purpose and my function and my life, while I abide where I am not at home.
The goal of Truth is now set.
Link inwardly with all of those around the country who are also meditating for the U.S. at this time, connecting with them heart to heart and mind to mind.
Set aside your own political views for now, rise above the political battleground, and align with your highest self, the infinite source of love and wisdom and forgiveness within your own heart and mind… (pause)
Deep in your heart, get in touch with your love for America. Align with her highest purpose, and see everyone united as One, surrounded with Light and Love.
Affirm that the election brings forth the highest good for the American people and for all humanity.
Hold the most positive outcome of the election for the future of America, bringing greater peace, health and prosperity.
Visualize yourself placing the future in the Hands of God.
Lesson 214 - I place the future in the Hands of God.
The past is gone; the future is not yet. Now am I freed from both. For what God gives can only be for good. And I accept but what He gives as what belongs to me.
Visualize our country being re-united around a common vision, with opportunities for each citizen to express his or her highest purpose and contribute their part.
Now reflect on what you personally can do to help our nation, in whatever field of work where you can best contribute your skills and gifts. Ask Holy Spirit for His Guidance and Wisdom as to where you can be most truly helpful.
Imagine all of us standing together in the crown of the Statue of Liberty, in the room at the top where we can look out on the expansive view across the city and the countryside….and see Americans experiencing true liberty on every level. See all of us as a sea of shining joy.
Now see a great light from the heart of God, surrounding and filling our nation and her people with Love.
And to conclude, again take a few deep breaths and focus your attention back into the room where you’re sitting, with your feet firmly on the ground.

I have tried three times to download the audio without success. Is it also available on the Miracles One site? I seem to have better ability to download them from there. Thank you for any help.

Hi Rev. Deb,
For some reason it worked this time. I still find it easier to download from the site as my screen reader can’t always find the “save” button from an email message. Ah, the mysteries of technology! Thank you very much for recording this. I did read the script this morning and we used it in the prayer chapel. Lovely indeed and very restful.
