Post-4:Unable to restart the instance

Hi Team,

Here i have an issue with the instance restart.we will have backup

weekly at tht time db2 got hung.I was trying to restart the instance

its not working

db2start
SQL1026N The database manager is already active.
db2stop
SQL1032N No start database manager command was issued.
MESSAGE : ADM0503C An unexpected internal processing error has

occurred. ALL
DB2 PROCESSES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS INSTANCE HAVE BEEN SHUTDOWN.
Diagnostic information has been recorded. Contact IBM Support for
further assistance.
0x10008E30 : 496E 7374 616E 6365 206E 6F74 2061 6374 Instance not active.

Please help me out regading with some suggestions

Hi Team,,

 

Breifing the site i want to give some steps to do..

 

1)Use db2stop and db2start if this fails

 

First

 

ps -ef | grep db2sysc | grep <instance name>

 

this will give process i dtry to kill and restart using db2start

 

If this also fails

 

ipclean

 

This will clean up all the resources

 

Definatly u will be able to restart the instance after that
