Hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of the off-season and is ready for another "Miracle" season. Personally, I can't wait for the season to start and spend the whole Sunday playing cricket with you all instead of just sitting home.
After a horrific last season as a treasurer, much to my dismay, Purav has decided to give me another shot at this so here I am with another pointless long email.
Contrary to what we achieved with bat and ball, last season wasn't that great money-wise for Miracle CC. We ended the season with $250 deficit. However, we had some big "one time" expenses last season including new matting, couple team bats, and the windshield accident that happened during the Majestic game. One of the biggest reason why we were negative last season was the amount of money we were spending on food.
Here's the breakdown of all the major expenses for the 2016 season:
League fees: $700
Insurance: $150
Johnny on the Spot + Pitch Repair + Storage: $225
Umpire fees for 15 games: $825
Drinks for 15 games: $300
New tent: $70
Total cost: $2270
Now, we have decided to take $200 from everyone as seasonal dues this time. This will cover the umpire fee everyone paid on match days. So this pretty much covers everything for the whole season except food cost. We will have to have a conversation about what to do for that.
If you end up playing 4 or less games, $100 will be refunded at the end of the season. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact either me or Purav.
