Can you provide the necessary steps to setup the meeting and resolve this matter? The EC has done a commendable job over the years. We would definitely not like to see Pragnesh step down as he has done a terrific job of leading this league to a reputable position. 

Rajesh - My two cents - I am sure that the decision taken regarding the ban was in the best interest in ensuring the rule is implemented. Whatever happened has happened and everyone should move on. I understand that your team may get affected but it is best to take this on the chin and move on forward.

BOD's - I would like to file an official complaints against Rajesh Soleti from Princeton CC. This is not the first time he has accused EC for being BIASED. Please do take necessary steps to resolve this matters.  If this matters is not clear and resolve by June 30th, 2018 - I as a President of CLNJ will resign from my Position on July 1st 2018. 

If you need to setup an emergency BOD's meeting to resolve the matter - please work with our Secretary, Sagar Salot to set one up.

Why was Abhishek Malhotra not banned from the League when he encroached a CLNJ ground???? where did ur Rules Go????  why there was no action on Knights after a official complaint was made last yr ( when a Player who played for 2 other Teams apart from Princeton in the same season}  why there is no reply till today on the official complaint???? what happened to your Rules????? Why this issue has to come in a hurry way just on the morning of the 1st Game?????  where was the need ?????? 
 
EC wants to protect few teams who support them on some issues and specifically target teams who are against them on issues, Banning Avengers players who have nothing to do with the whole issues is just not right, you are stopping 33 players from playing Cricket just to satisfy your EGO.

You guys are making all the concerned Teams suffer for no mistake, this is not a Good Precedant, this will harm the Teams and EC in the long Run, this is not the way to Administer CLNJ.   The way you are functioning is a serious concern to many teams, no ethics, no values, rules used only when it matters to you.... They take some Teams for Granted just to please few other teams, this is not acceptable at all.

You are Robbing Cricket of all the 33 players who have nothing to do with the issue, this is just not acceptable.

I agree with Susi that this matter needs to be voted rather than taking decision based on peoples personal hate rated! Also I agree with Punjab 11 (Baljinder Paji) that due to one person's mistake why are we punishing innocent by standers? I have this email forward to me by my Captain Rajesh from Princeton Cricket Club.

I am disturbed in seeing this ruling which is against the spirit of the game even when I had no direct role to play in the dispute.. Below are my pointer in reasons.

1) My president of the club have this legal decision  taken to help only to resolve an issue that prevented us from playing cricket in the leagues, who is not part of our club anymore.
2) I was in the team of Avengers who played in MCL ( who is never part of CLNJ league) 
3) If CLNJ take a decision of banning us from playing then what else can we do? Do you expect us to give up our basic rights as citizens when we feel we were being discriminated against and stopped from playing sport....
4) The last development on that issue was that the leagues were to discuss and reach back to our team regarding an resolution but  we never got to hear anything for 2 years and now this email to my CLNJ captain telling I am banned.. I am not sure if people who are taking this decision understand that they are directly contradicting a legal document signed in the court by both lawyers..
5) I have been playing in CLNJ from past 8 years in PCC including the last 2 years after the legal action came up. Now suddenly if the league decide that I should not play because my team took legal action against leagues for the same reason then what should we players be doing now.

I feel this is personally targeting my entity and all our team players and stopping our right to play even when we have been fully in compliance with CLNJ rules as long as the league allowed us to play cricket. I request CLNJ EC to provide specifics on how myself or my entity seeking legal help when the league tried to ban my team and myself is against the basic laws laid out in the court. If you do not provide a valid response then I have no choice but to fight for my right in to play positive cricket.

Sent too early. Unbelievable waste of time and energy because of one person constantly making noise. This needs some stoppage and actions taken. 

BODs - you all need to think collectively here about how this forum needs to run. BODs are not just for assigning captain, vc and president. It is overall your duty to participate in making sure the league runs smoothly, do not just put everything on EC. This is not about Rajesh only, tomorrow it can be something and someone  else. You all need to act as one committee ("BoDs")  against any person, who behaves such ignorant and just writes anything comes to his mind. If the same thing happens to you, would not you like some support from EC ? Now EC is asking for your support to act against such situations. Enforce some discipline and work with one of your own to make him realize where he is going wrong too. Why would EC do anything to jeopardize the league ? We are not even paid, so how can we even have selfish agenda to do so and get something out of it ? If everyone just behaves fine and by rules, we would not even have such situations and trust me, I would be the most happy person about it. Because then it would save EC sometime and focus on our own things, instead we have to spend hours to figure out how to resolve issues by keeping the overall league as a priority, more than any one person and one team. I have said this many times, act right and everything should be just fine.  For that we need every single person to act by keeping the league in mind, rather than personal opinions and interests. When tht does not happen, EC gets involved. And when the decision is not in favor of a particular person or team, we get called out with such names and nasty words. What type of behavior is this ? 

This is hours spent even on emails and yet we get accused like this. Yet noone from BOD speaks up, until that team gets impacted, it is honestly very disappointing. Take some ownership of your role as BOD here.

And we will never even have any issues after you get elected and I am sure every single individual team will be very happy with every decision you make and your ways to run the league. I wonder where were you this year, when Pragnesh offered to give up the position. But it is ok, better late than never. 

This was never about you or your team. You keep making it that about you and your team only. Otherwise anyone will stand and file a lawsuit, which we have to spend money and our personal time on. That is absolutely not going to happen. There is no point of raising your voice and calling us with labels, whenever the decision is not in your favor. I had told you before too, stay away from controversies and you will be fine. Wonder how from total of 50+ teams and over 1000 of players, you are always in the center.
4. About Abhishek Verma, I asked you to give us some proofs. Never heard from you after it. You prove he is guilty, happy to charge him.

Since I have some background about this issue, I will try to clarify to few things which you are raising in following email.

1) No such rule existed when Gymkhana CC had taken legal action against CLNJ. A year later CLNJ BODs approved such a rule on a going forward basis to protect the league and its BODs from any legal actions. So there was never a question of banning any Gymkhana players, as they did not sue CLNJ after the rule was in place.

2) CLNJ EC has been working with MCL EC until middle of 2017 to get the resolution on ground enchroachment agreement. Part of such negotiations CLNJ + MCL BODs meeting was arranged on 17th Apr 2017 - which didn't end up resolving the issue. MCL EC was willing to honor the agreement only if it was altered from the original agreement which was in place. That deadlock about the agreement was never resolved during 1st half of 2017. CLNJ EC could not implement the rule last year once season was started as CLNJ EC was still hoping the get MCL EC on-board with the agreement between to leagues. 

3) CLNJ EC assures you that, this is not at all related with the issue(Release of Abhishek Malhotra) going on between Princeton CC and Knights CC. CLNJ EC is just trying to enforce the long lasting By-Law which was passed by BODs to protect the league from the any legal action taken by players/clubs. Resolution to release of Abhishek Malhotra would not have any bearing on enforcing this rule. To prove my point Princeton CC will not be the only club which has players in this list. 

With that being said CLNJ EC is committed to protect CLNJ and its BODs. Please feel free to contact EC members if you have any questions.

Again – I keep seeing that you are providing false information here that the issue was resolved 2 years ago so why put this rule in motion now. Another question was asked that if one person sued CLNJ – why ban entire team.. Please see the screen shots from the document we received from court.

 

·         Avengers Cricket Club Vs CLNJ - How can you confirm only one person acted and sued CLNJ
·         Document received on June 24th, 2016
·         Complaint to MCL EC was submitted in April 2016
·         Matter was not resolved until end of 2016
·         Met with MCL EC in February 2017 and email was issued that current encroachment rule is Null and Void sometime in March 2017.

·         Joint BOD meeting between MCL/CLNJ happened on April 2017

·         Discussion never ended and the issue was not completely closed until May 2017.

Since I have some background about this issue, I will try to clarify to few things which you are raising in following email.

1) No such rule existed when Gymkhana CC had taken legal action against CLNJ. A year later CLNJ BODs approved such a rule on a going forward basis to protect the league and its BODs from any legal actions. So there was never a question of banning any Gymkhana players, as they did not sue CLNJ after the rule was in place.

2) CLNJ EC has been working with MCL EC until middle of 2017 to get the resolution on ground enchroachment agreement. Part of such negotiations CLNJ + MCL BODs meeting was arranged on 17th Apr 2017 - which didn't end up resolving the issue. MCL EC was willing to honor the agreement only if it was altered from the original agreement which was in place. That deadlock about the agreement was never resolved during 1st half of 2017. CLNJ EC could not implement the rule last year once season was started as CLNJ EC was still hoping the get MCL EC on-board with the agreement between to leagues. 

3) CLNJ EC assures you that, this is not at all related with the issue(Release of Abhishek Malhotra) going on between Princeton CC and Knights CC. CLNJ EC is just trying to enforce the long lasting By-Law which was passed by BODs to protect the league from the any legal action taken by players/clubs. Resolution to release of Abhishek Malhotra would not have any bearing on enforcing this rule. To prove my point Princeton CC will not be the only club which has players in this list. 

With that being said CLNJ EC is committed to protect CLNJ and its BODs. Please feel free to contact EC members if you have any questions.

I really don’t like to involve in these matters of conflict, but things are getting escalated to very unnecessary levels.  I am not questioning your right as a BOD at all...you have that right.  And so does the EC to make decisions on our behalf - we all elected the EC.  We all have right to challenge the decision - but in a cordial manner.  

My request is to refrain from accusing EC on wrong doing just based on your perceived notion.  My team is also impacted by the decision.  But it is unfair to say EC is targeting certain teams - I don’t see it that way.

My humble request to all the BODs is to help bring the tone a couple of notches and be civil so that this situation is immediately resolved and don’t repeat in future.

As an EC member I challenge you to provide all the information to BOD's.. If this case was resolved 2 years ago - than please provide the dates. When this case was file and when it was resolved by court and both the leagues. EC would like to see if our dates are matching.

BOD's - I would like to file an official complaints against Rajesh Soleti from Princeton CC. This is not the first time he has accused EC for being BIASED. Please do take necessary steps to resolve this matters.  If this matters is not clear and resolve by June 30th, 2018 - I as a President of CLNJ will resign from my Position on July 1st 2018. 

If you need to setup an emergency BOD's meeting to resolve the matter - please work with our Secretary, Sagar Salot to set one up.

            Your Reasoning for not enforcing the rules 2 Years back in so  dumb and Stupid.....  Despite several emails and concerns from Teams who are Against the Banning of players after 2 YEARS.. Why was Abhishek Malhotra not banned from the League when he encroached a CLNJ ground???? where did ur Rules Go????  why there was no action on Knights after a official complaint was made last yr ( when a Player who played for 2 other Teams apart from Princeton in the same season}  why there is no reply till today on the official complaint???? what happened to your Rules????? Why this issue has to come in a hurry way just on the morning of the 1st Game?????  where was the need ?????? 
 
EC wants to protect few teams who support them on some issues and specifically target teams who are against them on issues, Banning Avengers players who have nothing to do with the whole issues is just not right, you are stopping 33 players from playing Cricket just to satisfy your EGO.

You guys are making all the concerned Teams suffer for no mistake, this is not a Good Precedant, this will harm the Teams and EC in the long Run, this is not the way to Administer CLNJ.   The way you are functioning is a serious concern to many teams, no ethics, no values, rules used only when it matters to you.... They take some Teams for Granted just to please few other teams, this is not acceptable at all.

You are Robbing Cricket of all the 33 players who have nothing to do with the issue, this is just not acceptable.
