About the organization: New Working Majority is a small 3 (soon to be 4!) person consulting firm that works with workers’ organizing groups, worker centers, community organizations, and social enterprises committed to fighting for racial, economic, and gender justice. We provide support to organizations based in communities that represent the New Working Majority in the United States--women, people of color, immigrants, low-paid workers in retail, health care, logistics, the service sector, and the gig economy. We believe that the most lasting, progressive change happens when people work collectively in their own communities to build power and make their own destinies, using a combination of direct action, electoral activity, and grassroots lobbying. 

Location: Anywhere in the contiguous U.S.; this position is entirely remote.

Travel: The travel for this position is extremely minimal.

Salary: $90,000/year.

Benefits: 401(k) with employer match up to 6%; each employee has an up to $1,000/month allowance to pay for health insurance, dental and vision; 10 days paid time off with an additional 5 days for each year of employment, up to 20 days; 11 firm holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day off; 3 floating religious/cultural holidays; minimum 5 days paid sick leave plus more if needed.

Qualifications: 10-12 years of experience working in the progressive base-building political movement, 3 years of supervision experience, and involvement in at least 10 hires over the course of their career, excluding temporary field staff. 

Brief description: The Recruitment Director will head up our recruitment contract work, aid in the growth into new issue and geographical areas, acquisition of new clients, and supervise the Recruitment and Data Manager.
