Please pass on!

Michigan Disability Rights Coalition is hiring a Communications & Development Director to lead our storytelling and support fundraising efforts.
This full-time, hybrid position is ideal for a creative professional who wants to amplify the voices of the disability community through compelling communications.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading social media strategy and monthly newsletters
  • Launching marketing for our community training program
  • Highlighting leadership program participants and partners
  • Supporting fundraising campaigns and donor relations

Preferred qualifications:
  • 3–5 years in nonprofit communications, marketing, or PR
  • 3–5 years in nonprofit development/fundraising
  • Strong commitment to disability justice
  • Excellent storytelling and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in accessibility standards for digital content

Compensation: $60,000–$65,000 annually, plus comprehensive benefits including low-cost medical, free dental/vision, 208 hours PTO, 14 holidays, 403(b) match, and paid parental leave.

Don't meet every qualification? Apply anyway. Studies show marginalized communities often don't apply unless they check every box. If this role excites you, we encourage you to apply—you may be just the right candidate.

To apply: Send a cover letter and resume to MDRCemp...@mymdrc.org by February 18, 2026.
