Good afternoon everyone,

Rising Voices is hiring a Community Navigator! This position supports Asian American individuals and families in Michigan facing or at risk of detention and deportation. 

This role is ideal for someone who wants to help connect community members to legal resources, mutual aid, and essential support while building trust and making a real impact. Lived experience, organizing, or volunteer work is welcome—training provided. This full-time, hybrid position is guaranteed for one year with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct outreach to Asian American communities, including Know Your Rights presentations at community events to introduce Rising Voices and connect them to available support
• Complete intake assessments in coordination with our legal services partners
  Offer one-on-one guidance, coaching, and practical support to individuals and families as needed, with capacity for moral and emotional support
• Provide culturally responsive community resource navigation and support for families facing detention or deportation

• Track individual cases carefully, maintain accurate records, and note patterns or trends across cases in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy practices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Some experience in trauma-informed care, case management, community organizing, or volunteer coordination OR brings lived immigrant experience that informs their work
  Aligns with Rising Voices’ mission and values. Believes in fighting for economic, racial, and social justice for all.
  
• Speaks an Asian language, but not required. 

Compensation: This is a full time, non-exempt position starting at $25.00 - $28.85/hour (annually $52,000 - $60,000) dependent on experience. This is a guaranteed one-year position. There is a possibility of extension pending funding and programmatic needs. Position includes a full benefits package, including:
