Dear Yunjun,
Thanks for your development of MintPy. I have installed the MintPy dependencies through anaconda3. The KujuAlosAT422F650 and WellsEnvD2T399 examples can run normally without errors in my conda environment mintpy. However, for the FernandinaSenDT128 case, it spills out errors like "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'gdal' "(***/MintPy/mintpy/utils/isce_utils.py", line 15)   "KeyError: 'DATE12' " (***/MintPy/mintpy/load_data.py", line 390)
Does the MintPy needs gdal and isce2 installed in the conda environment mintpy to process interferograms from ISCE? Why did you not mention this in the github installtion page?

Regards,
Stephen

Dear Stephen,

As you can see, you didn't install gdal library, which is necessary for MintPy. Please try with miniconda3 as it said in the tutorial of MintPy installation and then install all required libraries.

Sincerely,

Stephen Chu

Hi Sayyed,
The github installation page https://github.com/insarlab/MintPy/blob/master/docs/installation.md did not mention gdal in the dependencies file $MINTPY_HOME/docs/conda_env.yml.
I've also installed gdal-3.0.4 through "conda install gdal=3.0.4" in my mintpy environment. There are still errors like "cannot import isce". Should I also install isce2 in the mintpy environment?
However, it causes conflicts if I install isce2 through "conda install isce2" in my mintpy environment. Any suggestions?

Regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

The error you had should now be fix with a recent commit. Please update and try again.

Does the MintPy needs gdal and isce2 installed in the conda environment mintpy to process interferograms from ISCE?

Yes. MintPy is designed to accept products from different InSAR softwares, including ISCE, and it does require those softwares in the early stage of metadata preparation.

Setting up a whole end-to-end InSAR processing system is beyond our capability. There are so many different ways, for different softwares and OS systems. Here is one example: https://github.com/yunjunz/macOS_Setup

As for the example datasets, I saved those metadata already so that one can run them with mintpy alone and does not need to setup the whole system.

I hope this helps to clear it a little bit.

Yunjun
