Hi Pavithra,
I suppose your issue is related to a missing download of *.grib files.
In this regard, I also had recently a problem in downloading them, but I fixed this changing the "$HOME/.cdsapirc" file (first line) from  https://cds-beta.climate.copernicus.eu/api into  https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/api, otherwise you get an authentication code failure message (at least this was the error message I got).
Hope this can help to fix your problem.
Cheers,
Sven.

Hi Pavithra,

I just ran into the same issue earlier this week, and the issue was related to the not-so-recent changes to the ECMWF API for downloading ERA5 data.
I fixed it eventually by updating ECMWF's cdsapi python package.  Somewhere, the old API URL was still being used.
e.g: mamba update cdsapi
It could also help to make sure your pyaps3 installation is up to date as well.

Echoing SVEN's advice, my $HOME/.cdsapirc file also looks like:
url: https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/api
key: <my key>

Since the error message doesn't tell you what's actually wrong with the ERA5 download, its possible its another issue like an incorrect API key or a missing license.
Also, be sure to delete the empty ERA5.h5 file before trying to run the tropospheric correction again!

Best of luck,
Rowan

Hi, I solved this issue by updating the .cdsapirc file. I replaced it with the URL and API from the climate data store. This you can find in the
https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/datasets   User guide>>API>>Setup the CDS API personal access token, This URL and API for linux users should be replaced in the .cdsapirc file

With regards,
Pavithra

Thank you for your reply. I fiddled with it for a long time by myself but still had no idea how to use it. It's quite magical.

We have added the `tropo_pyaps3.py --debug-mode` to show the full error message related to the pyaps3 data downloading. Could you update your mintpy code to the latest development version, re-run with this option turned on, and show the full error message here for a better diagnose?

Please feel free to open a new GitHub issue if the issue persists.

Regards,
Yunjun
