ஆம்பர் ராபர்ட்ஸ் எனும் பெண் விஞ்ஞானி விமான நிலையத்துக்கு இரண்டு லேப்டாப்புகளை கொன்டுபோனார்.

செக்யூரிட்டி செக் இன்னில் அருகே நின்றவர் "எதுக்கு ரெண்டு லேப்டாப்?" என கேட்டார்.

அவ்வளவுதான்...வெடித்தது புரட்சி. ட்விட்டரில் அந்த நபரை பிடித்து கிழி, கிழி என கிழித்துவிட்டார் ஆம்பர் ராப்ர்ட்ஸ்

இப்படி கேட்பது ஆணாதிக்கம், பெண் என்பதால் தான் கேட்கிறார். பெண்கள் இரண்டு லேப்டாப் வைத்துக்கொள்ளக்கூடாதா? என

Whether they ( fem) claim it is gender related or men claim it is not, my take is it is irrelevant for security personnel to know why. Did they ask all those that travelled with one, 'why only one?' Or those that travelled without any as to 'why there is no laptop'.,?

I would have asked a counter-question, how does it matter if it is two or one too many? Instead of answering this is for this and that is for that...

 சென்றால்,யாருக்குமே ஒரு ஆச்சர்யம் சேர்ந்தவினா எழும் - அவர் ஆணாக இருந்தாலும் அல்லது பெண்ணாக இருந்தாலும். குறிப்பிட்ட நபர் ஆணாக இருந்திருந்தாலும் கேள்விகேட்டவருக்கு இந்த ஐயம் எழுந்திருக்கத்தான் செய்யும். குறிப்பிட்ட பெண்விஞ்ஞானி மஞ்சள் கண்ணாடி போட்டவர் போலிருக்கிறது. அது மஞ்சள்காமாலையாகத் தெரிந்திருக்கிறது.

ஐசக் நியூட்டன், ஒருமுறை ஒரு தச்சரைக் கூப்பிட்டு ஒரு கோழிக்கூடு செய்யச்சொன்னாராம். அதில் ஒரு பெரிய கதவும், சிறிய கதவும் வைக்கச்சொன்னாராம். ஆச்சர்யப்பட்ட தச்சர், எதற்கு இரண்டு கதவுகள் என்றாராம். அதற்கு நியூட்டன்,”ஒன்று கோழிக்கு, ஒன்று குஞ்சுகளுக்கு” என்றாராம். சிரித்துக்கொண்டே அந்தத் தச்சர், “கோழி போகிற வழியிலேயே குஞ்சுகளும் போய்விடாதா” என்றாராம். இந்தப் பெண் விஞ்ஞானியைப்பார்த்து எனக்கும் அவ்வாறுதான் கேட்கத்தோன்றுகிறது.

Normally a laptop is allowed in addition to cabin be. If someone carries two naturally can be questioned. I don't see anything wrong with security person. Relating it to gender is unwarranted.

I have carried two laptops many a time.( schlumberger gave a laptop with its programs and security key. Private folders are not allowed. My personal files in my laptop) Never questioned. For that matter, I dont see how the laptop is tagged to a person in a security carousal.

Still the question 'why' is irrelevant from the security point of view. Has any one questioned how many phones you carry or how many pens you carry. It is passengers choice. Unless the cabin baggage allowance is limited to one.

அம்மையார்  லாப்டாப் விவகாரத்தில் சாஃப்ட்வேர் என்பதும் ஒரு காரணமாக இருக்கக் கூடும்.  அனைத்தையும் ஒரே மடிக்கணினியில் வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்  ஆனால் செயல் படும்பொழுது விரைவாகச் செயல் பட இயலாமல் போகலாம்.  மெம்மரி, ஸ்டோரேஜ், எஃபீசியன்சி  என பல தடங்கல் குறித்து அவருக்குத்தான் தெரியும்.  GIS போன்ற சாஃப்ட்வேர்  கொண்டு வேலை செய்வோர், புரோக்ராம் கோடிங் செய்பவர்கள் இரு கணினிகள் வைத்திருக்க விரும்புவதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டுள்ளேன்.  அம்ப்ர்  ராபர்ட்சும் "Well one is for my astrophysics work and one is for my artificial intelligence work.” என்றுதான் கூறுகிறார்.

அத்துடன்  அவரைக் கேள்வி கேட்டவர் அருகில் உள்ள ஒருவர்; செக்யூரிட்டி ஆபிசர் அல்ல என்றுதான் என்னால் புரிந்து கொள்ள முடிகிறது.

அவரது பதிவு வைரலாகிய பொழுது அதன் விவாதம் பெண்ணியம் கோணம் எடுத்துள்ளது. 

இயல்பாக ஒரு ஆண் எடுத்துச் சென்றால் கேள்வி எழுப்ப நினைக்காதவர்கள் பெண் என்றால் கேள்வி எழுப்புகிறார்கள் என்ற சிந்தனை வருவதைத் தடுக்க முடியாது.

அப்பொழுது பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் எனது பின்புலத்தைக் கேட்டுத் தெரிந்து கொண்ட ஒரு இந்தியர்.

நீ ஏன் மீண்டும் படிக்க வருகிறாய், உனக்கு அதற்கான தேவை என்ன என்று கேட்டார். 1993/1994 என இருக்கலாம்.

அப்பொழுது என் மனதில் இதே கேள்விதான் எழுந்தது.

ஒரு ஆண் படிப்பைத் தொடர்ந்தால்  அவர்களிடம் யாராவது இந்தக் கேள்வியைக் கேட்டிருப்பார்களா?

அமெரிக்க வந்த  ஆண்கள் பலரும் மாணவராக வந்தவர்கள்  அல்லது வேலையில் இருக்கும்பொழுது மேற்படிப்புக்கும் பகுதி நேர அடிப்படையில் முயன்றவர்களாக இருக்கலாம்.  

யாரையேனும் நீ ஏன் படிப்பைத் தொடர்கிறாய் என்று எவரேனும் கேட்ட அனுபவம் இருந்தால் சொல்லிச் செல்லுங்கள் ...இது எனது தனிப்பட்ட ஆர்வம்.. நன்றி.

இது ஆணாதிக்கம் அடிப்படையில் இருக்கிறதே என்று கூறினால் அதுவும் கருத்துரிமையே 

ஒன்றை ஏற்கும் மனது மற்றதையும் ஏன் ஏற்க விரும்புவதில்லை.  வியப்பு.  ஊரையே கெடுக்கிறார்கள் என்ற பொருள் தரும் தலைப்பு கொடுப்பது ... எனது கருத்தில் ஆணாதிக்க மனப்பான்மை.

இப்ப்டி பெண்ணீயபோராளிகள் உலாவும் ஹாஷ்டாகில் ட்விட் போட்டால் அந்த நபரை பெண்ணியபோராளிகள் கும்மி எடுப்பார்கள் அல்லவா? அதுதான் நடந்தது. என்ன, யார் என்றே தெரியாத அந்த ஆணை ட்விட்டரில் பெண்ணீய போராளிகள் "ஆணாதிக்கவாதி" பட்டம் சூட்டினார்கள். அவர் டிரம்ப் வாக்காளர் என்பது போல பல யூகங்கள் செய்யபட்டன :-)

அம்மையாருக்கும் ட்விட்டரில் மண்டகபடி நடந்தது. ரெட்டிட்டில் "I am smart" எனும் ஹேச்டாக் போட்டு அவர் ஓட்டபட்டார். ஊடகங்களில் செய்தி வந்தன

இத்தனைக்கும் காரணம் ஒரு சின்ன விசயத்தை ட்வீட் போட்டு, அதிலும் பெண்ணீயம் தொடர்பான ஹாச்டாகுகள் போட்டு அவர் பெரிதுபடுத்தியதுதான்.

இரண்டு லேப்டாப்பை ஆண் வைத்திருந்தாலும், பெண் வைத்திருந்தாலும் வியப்படைந்து சிலர் கேட்பது வாடிக்கை. அன்ராட வாழ்க்கையில் நிகழும் ஒவ்வொரு விசயத்தையும் ஊதிபெரிதாக்கி ஊடகங்களில் போட்டு புகழ்பெறுவது ஒரு மாதிரியான அடிக்சன் ஆகிவிடுகிறது என்பது மட்டுமின்றி பலரையும் இம்மாதிரி கோணத்தில் காணும் ஆண்களை எல்லாம் ஆணாதிக்கவாதிகளாக காண தோன்றுகிறது

இதனால் எல்லாம் தான் நல்லா இருந்த ஊர் நாசமா போகிறது. அதற்கு நாலு அல்ல ஒரே ஒரு பெண்ணியவாதி போதும் என்பதை இந்த சம்பவம் காட்டுகிரது

 

ஒருவர் கேள்வி கேட்கலாம் அது அவரது கருத்துரிமை

ஆண்கள் மேல் வெறுப்புணர்வை தூண்டும் விதமாக இப்படி எழுதுவதால் இயல்புவாழ்க்கை பாதிக்கபடும். பெண்களிடம் எதையும் இயல்பாக கேட்க, பேச ஆண்கள் தயங்கும் சூழல் வரும்.

இதே இழையில் அந்த நபர் செய்தது ஆணாதிக்கம் என தேமொழி சொல்கிறார். அப்புறம் ஊடகக்காரரை ஏன் குறை சொல்லவேண்டும்?

ஒன்றுமில்லாத விசயம் ஏன் ட்விட்டரில் இப்படி போடபட்டு ஹாஷ்டாகுகள் மூலம் பரவவேண்டும்?

Hmm. Me English is 'old age' English so scoff is a word known to me. Unless they have added new definitions in the last few years! And 'scoff' with or without asterisks donor appear 'கிழிகிழி எனக் கிழித்தல்'. May be i am dumb to the modern lingo. Do elaborate .

As i said i am not in these sensational social media. So remaining four queries are not for me to revert. Especially second and fourth reinforce my initial take - sensationalism and nervous twitch on the part of audience.

முற்போக்கு பெண்ணியவாதிகள் "டிரம்ப் எப்படி தம் திருமணத்தை அழிக்கிரார்" என விவரிக்கிரார்கள்.

சாம்பிளுக்கு சில:

கிரிஸ்டன்: இந்த பெண்ணியவாதி முதலில் மிதவாத பெண்ணியவாதியாக இருந்தார். இவரது கணவர் ரிபப்ளிகன். ஆனால் டிரம்புக்கு ஓட்டுபோடாமல் ஜான் கேசிசுக்கு ஓட்டு போட்டார்.

தேர்தலுக்கு பின் டிரம்ப் மேல் இந்த அம்மையாருக்கு வெறுப்புனர்வு அதிகரித்து வீட்டுக்கு தட்டிகள், போஸ்டரை எல்லாம் கொண்டு வர ஆரம்பித்து 1000 பேரை திரட்டி பொதுகூட்டம் எல்லாம் நடத்தினார்.

இவரது கணவர் அதை தடுக்கவில்லை. எதிர்க்கவில்லை...."ஹேவ் ஃபன்" என சொல்லி அவரை வழியனுப்பவே செய்தார். ஆனால் திடீர் என இந்த அம்மையாரின் தோழிக்கு கான்சர் வரவும் " கான்சருடன் வாழ்வது எப்படி இயலாத காரியமோ, அப்படி ரிபப்ளிகனுடன் வாழ்வது இயலாத காரியம்" என உனர்ந்து கணவரை விவாகரத்து செய்துவிட்டார்.

இவரது கணவரும் இவரை போல தீவிர முற்போக்குவாதி. 

கணவர் ராணுவத்தில் இருந்து போருக்கு போன போது இவர் குழந்தைகளை கவனித்து வந்தா. இப்போது டிரம்ப் ஆட்சிக்கு வந்ததும் மனைவிக்கு முழுநேரமும் போராட்டமே வேலையாக போனது. கணவர் இப்போது குழந்தைகளை பார்த்துகொள்கிறார். வீட்டு வேலைகளை செய்கிறார். அம்மையார் முழுநேர போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுள்லார்.

"கொஞ்சம் போரட்டத்தை குறைத்துக்கொள். வீட்டை கவனி" என கணவர் சொல்வது அம்மையாருக்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை. நாட்டுக்காக நீ போராடபோனபோது நான் தானே வீட்டை கவனித்தேன். இப்ப நானும் நாட்டுக்காக தான் போராடுகிறேன் என்பது அவர் வாதம்.

தன் போராட்ட வாழ்க்கைக்கு (!) திருமணம் ஒத்துவராது என உனர்வதாக கூறுகிறார்.

The top court was hearing pleas seeking a review of its landmark decision to remove the temple's ban on women aged between 10 and 50, which was met with widespread protests in Kerala. Only two women from that age group have been able to pray at the Lord Ayyappa shrine since the court delivered its judgement in September.

The court has reserved its judgment on the review pleas.

The Travancore Devaswom Board told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that it had changed its stand on the ban. Senior advocate Rakesh Dwivedi, who appeared for the board, spoke of a need to transform jurisprudence and society, and said equality was a basic right.

Rakesh Dwivedi said there was no scriptural prohibition on the entry of women, and that the essential practice of Hinduism was to allow women to enter temples.

Earlier, the Kerala-based Nair Service Society (which wants the entry ban restored at Sabarimala) told the Supreme Court the exclusion of women at the shrine couldn't be compared with untouchability.

K Parasaran, the senior lawyer representing the group, said the exclusion was limited to a particular age group and based on the deity's character.

Lord Ayyappa, the deity of the Sabarimala temple, is considered to be eternally celibate.

IN A NUTSHELL: The Travancore Devaswom Board, which previously supported the Sabarimala temple's ban on women of a specific age group, has told the Supreme Court that it has changed its stand.

new delhi: temples and religious institutions are no more a private venture of some individuals and private institutions as they become public organs and the government can have control in their proper governance. the supreme court has ruled that ``an institution or endowment is public one and burden of proof lies on the person claiming it to be private''. thus, every religious institution is a public property, unless proved otherwise, it ruled. the endowment deputy commissioner has the jurisdiction and power to decide whether a temple is public or private in nature, the court said but such a decision could be made only if a dispute arose whether it a private place. ``having due regard to all aspects, we are of the view that deputy commissioner has the power and jurisdiction to decide whether the temple in question is a public temple or a private one,'' a bench comprising justice s rajendra babu and justice shivaraj v patil said while dismissing the appeal by andhra pradesh based teki venkata ratnam claiming ownership of shri panduranga vitthal swami temple in chilakapudi. he said the deputy commissioner had no power to decide the issue as it was a private temple. he had refused to register the temple under the society act. the high court had upheld the deputy commissioner's order declaring the temple a public institution. but ratnam raised the issue: ``whether the deputy commissioner of endowments has power to inquire and decide any dispute whether a temple is a public temple or a private one under section 87 of andhra pradesh charitable and hindu religious institutions and endowment acts, 1987?'' the bench said if ratnam's argument was to be accepted, it was enough for any person or body to claim a temple as a private one so as to take away the power and jurisdiction of the deputy commissioner under section 87 of the act. ``a mere self-serving design of a party to claim a temple as private one cannot defeat a specific statutory provision conferring power on a statutory authority to decide a question,'' it said. earlier in another judgment, the apex court had said: ``though most of present day hindu public temples have been founded as public temples, there are instances of private temples becoming public temples in course of time.'' it further said: ``some of the private temples have acquired a great deal of religious reputation either because of the eminence of its founder or because of other circumstances. they have attracted large number of devotees. gradually in course of time they have become public temples''.

பப்ளிக் பிராபர்ட்டி என்றால் பப்ளிக் எல்லாரும் அந்த இடத்துக்கு போகலாம் எனும் அரிய கண்டுபிடிப்பை தெரிவித்தது தாங்கள் தான்.

அதையொட்டி தான் அந்த கேள்வியை எழுப்பினேன்.

முதல்வர் திரு எடப்பாடி பழனிசாமி போகும் அரசு காரும் பப்ளிக் பிராபர்ட்டிதான். நான் அதில் ஏறி உட்கார்ந்துகொள்ள முடியுமா? கோர்ட்டு அனுமதிக்குமா?

காமடிக்கு அளவே இல்லாமல் காமடி செய்வதுதான் முற்போக்கு :-)

After Tippu's invasion of the Malabar coast in 965ME(1789AD), Pandalam was asked to pay an amount Rs. 2,20,001 to the Travancore govt. towards the cost of the war. The amount was to be paid in installments from various sources. Once in 969ME (1794AD), the income from Sabarimala temple was hypothecated by the then ruler of Pandalam for the above purpose. In 995 M.E (1820AD), the then Ruler of Travancore suggested that the Travancore government would support every member of Pandalam royal family and the future progenies thereof in a manner befitting their status for all time to come provided the Raja of Pandalam entered into a written agreement with the Travancore government consenting to have the revenues in Pandalam collected by the officers of the Travancore government. Upon the Raja of Pandalam accepting the above proposals, the Pandalam kingdom was merged with Travancore. Since then, a monthly pension is being paid to the Pandalam family. Administration of the temples, including Sabarimala within the Pandalam kingdom was also transferred to Travancore government and subsequently to Travancore Devaswom Board

You don't get things straight ever? Pandalam has verbally forfeited any authority ( I read it as administrative rights). Some vestigial priorities ate shown to family members. Yes they have every right to proclaim family ties with a story hero. They also are free to express how sentimentally they are hurt and express their fears of possible bad luck to their family. செல்லவிலங்குகள்,  தத்துப்பிள்ளைகள், உடன்பிறப்புகள்...

முதியோர், மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகள் என   எவர் ஒருவர்  வாழ்வுக்கும் பொறுப்பு எடுப்பவர், 

நாம் இல்லாவிட்டால் அவர் நல்வாழ்வுக்கு யார் பொறுப்பு எனக் கலக்கம் அடைபவர்  ...

யாவரும் அடிமைகளே.

சிலர் அந்த வாழ்வைத் தவிர்ப்பர் காமராஜர், கலாம், தெரசா   எனப்பலர் அந்தவகை.

அவர்கள் நாட்டம் வேறு.  குறிக்கோள் வேறு.

இல்லை குறிக்கோளே இல்லை கஞ்சா அடித்து ஊர் சுற்றும் சாமியார் போலச் சுற்றுவேன் என்றாலும் அது அவர் விருப்பம்.

யாரும் யார் வாழ்விலும் இடையிடுவது பண்பாடில்லை.

திருமணம் செய்து கொள்வேன், குழந்தை பெற்றுக் கொள்வேன்,  

ஒரு குழந்தை, பத்து குழந்தை... அல்லது குழந்தை வேண்டாம் 

இவையெல்லாம் அவரவர் விருப்பம். 

அது அவருடன்  வாழ்வைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் ... கொண்டால் அவரது வாழ்க்கைத்துணையின் விருப்பம்.

எவர் ஒருவர் முடிவும் அடுத்தவரைப் பாதிக்கிறதா எனப் பாருங்கள்.

அவர் முடிவு சட்டத்திற்குப் புறம்பானதா எனப் பாருங்கள்.

இந்த இரு நேரங்களில் மட்டும் பாதிக்கப்படும் பிறர் நலன் கருதி சட்ட வழியில் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கலாம், எடுக்க வேண்டும். 

மற்றபடி அவர் வாழ்வதற்கு, குடும்பம் குழந்தை எல்லாம் எனது திறனுக்கு மீறிய கடமை, நான் தவிர்ப்பேன் என்றால் அது தனிப்பட்ட ஒருவர் விருப்பம்.

எனது   கோணம் என்றுமே அதுதான்.

தனிப்பட்ட ஒருவருக்கு அவர் வாழ்வை முடிவு செய்ய முழு உரிமையும் உண்டு.

அவர் என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும் செய்யக் கூடாது என்ற குழப்ப நிலையில் அறிவுரை கேட்க விரும்பினால் அவர் நிலையில் நான் இருந்தால் இவ்வாறு செய்வேன் என்று மட்டும் சொல்வேன்.

இது சரி, நான் சொன்னதைச் செய் என்று அப்பொழுதும் சொல்ல மாட்டேன். 

பல கோணங்களில் சூழ்நிலையைச் சிந்தித்து முடிவு எடுக்க வேண்டியது அவர் பொறுப்பு.

நான் சரியான வழி என நினைத்துக் கூறியதற்கு மாறாகச் செயல்பட்டு வேறு ஏதோ தவறாக நடந்துவிட்டாலும் ஆறுதல் சொல்லி துணையாக இருக்க மட்டுமே  விரும்புவேன். 

அதனால் என் கோணம் வேறு... அது தனிமனித உரிமையின் மீது கட்டெழுப்பப் படுவது. 

ஒருவர் பொறுப்புகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும் வழிமுறையில் சென்றால் கடமைகளை நிறைவேற்றுவதில் முழு அக்கறை காட்ட வேண்டும்.

பெரும்பாலோருக்கு அதைச் சொல்லத் தேவையில்லை.

பொதுவாகப் பெண்களின் விடுதலைக்கும். சுயேச்சைக்குமே கர்ப்பம் விரோதியாயிருப்பதால், சாதாரணமாய்ப்  பெண்கள் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறுவது என்பதை அடியோடு நிறுத்திவிட வேண்டும் என்கிறோம். அதுமாத்திரமல்லாமல், பல பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறுகின்ற காரணத்தால் ஆண்களும் கூடச் சுயேச்சையுடனும், வீரத்துடனும், விடுதலையுடனும் இருக்க முடியாதவர்களாகவே இருக்கிறார்கள். இதன் உண்மை, சாதாரணமாய் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும் மனுஷியும் தங்கள் தங்கள் சுதந்திரங்களுக்குக் கஷ்டம் வருகின்ற காலத்தில் பேசிக் கொள்வதைப் பார்த்தாலே தெரியும். 

ஒரு மனிதன், தன் கஷ்ட நிலையில் பேசும்போது, "நான் தனியாயிருந்தால் ஒரு கை பார்த்துவிடுவேன். 4, 5 குழந்தையும், குட்டியும் ஏற்பட்டு விட்டதால், இவைகளைக் காப்பாற்றவேண்டுமே என்கின்ற கவலையால் பிறர் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலைக்கு ஆளாயிருக்க நேர்ந்திருக்கின்றது" என்றே சொல்லுகின்றான். அதுபோலவே, ஒரு ஸ்திரி, புருஷனாலோ அல்லது வேறு எதனாலோ சங்கடம் ஏற்படும்போது, "நான் தனியாய் இருந்தால் எங்காகிலும் தலையின்மேல் துணியைப் போட்டுக்கொண்டு போய்விடுவேன்; அல்லது ஒரு ஆற்றிலாவது, குளத்திலாவது இறங்கிவிடுவேன்; இந்தக் கஷ்டத்தைச் சகித்துக்கொண்டு அரை நிமிஷம் இருக்கமாட்டேன். ஆனால், இந்தக் குழந்தைகளையும், குஞ்சுகளையும் நான் எப்படி விட்டுவிட்டுப் போக முடியும்" என்றேசொல்லுகின்றாள். ஆகவே, இந்த இருவருக்கும் அவர்களது சுயேச்சையையும், விடுதலையையும் கெடுப்பது இந்தக் குழந்தைகள், குஞ்சுகள் என்பவைகளேயாகும். 

உலகத்தில் மக்கள் தங்கள் உடலாலும் அறிவாலும் கஷ்டப்பட்டுத் தத்தம் ஜீவனத்திற்குப் பொருள் தேடுவதற்கே சுதந்திரத்தை விற்றுச் சுயமரியாதையைப் பலி கொடுத்து அடிமைகளாக வேண்டிய நிலையில் இருக்கும்போது, பிள்ளைகளையும், குட்டிகளையும் காப்பாற்றவேண்டிய அவசியம் தலைமேல் இருக்குமானால், இந்த இடத்தில் எப்படிச் சுயேச்சை இருக்க முடியும்? ஆகையால், இன்றைய நம் உலகில் ஆண், பெண் இருவரினுடைய சுயேச்சைக்கே கர்ப்பமாவதும், பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறுவதும் இடையூறான காரியமாகிறது. அதிலும் பெண்கள் சுயேச்சைக்குக் கர்ப்பம் என்பது கொடிய விரோதமாய் இருக்கின்றது. பெண்களுக்குச் சொத்தும், வருவாயும், தொழிலும் இல்லாததால் குழந்தைகளை வளர்க்க மற்றவர்கள் ஆதரவை எதிர்பார்த்தே தீர வேண்டியிருக்கின்றது. அதனால்தான் நாம் கண்டிப்பாய்ப் பெண்கள் பிள்ளை பெறுவதை நிறுத்தியே ஆகவேண்டும் என்கின்றோம்.

கட்டுரை பெண்ணின் சுதந்திரத்தைப் பற்றியது. குழந்தையை பெற்ற  தாய் மட்டும் குழந்தைக்காக தனது உயர்வு, படிப்பு, ஆசை இவைகளைத் துறக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நிலையில் தியாகத்தை நிர்ப்பந்திப்பதில் நியாயம் இல்லை என்று உணர்த்த. ஆணுக்கும் குழந்தைகளை பேணுவதில் பொறுப்பு உள்ளது என்று உணராத நிலையில், அரசாங்கம் தனது ஏழ்மையை கட்டி இயலாமையை தெரிவித்து வரியை மட்டும் வசூல் செய்து விட்டு பிட்சை எடுப்பதே வேலையாக   செய்தபோது எழுதப்பட்டது. கற்பு ஆணுக்கும் பெண்ணுக்கும் சமம். காலை அனைவர்க்கும் பொது. திறமை  அனைவர்க்கும் பொது. தியாகமும் அனைவர்க்கும் பொது. ஈன்று புறம் தறுதல் மட்டுமே அன்னையின் வேலை. பின் வாழ்வு முழுதும் சுமந்து சான்றோன் ஆக்குவது தந்தை மற்றும் சமூகத்தின் கடமை என்று அனல் தன தாய்மை பெருமையுடையது. இல்லையேல் தாய்மை இந்த சூழலில் நமது பெண்ணையிருந்தால் அடிமைத்தனம்.  அணைத்து பெண்களையும் தன மார்பில் தவஸ்த்த குழந்தையாய் பாவித்து பெரியார் கூறிய வைர வரிகள் . வையிர வரிகள் அல்ல.
