Interesting talks (really liked the nuances in melting-pot/salad/rain-forest comparison). Thank you for sharing the links.

On book availability, there is only one format at this point I guess:

On checking the internet, the book is priced at Rs. 3000. I understand it's research-work and contains colored maps (59 pages and a total of 524 pages in length, as per WorldCat).https://thamizhbooks.com/product/journey-of-a-civilization-indus-to-vaigai-r-balakrishnan/

 Hoping that over time, there will be another edition priced less for a wider reach :)

R. Balakrishnan, IAS called me last night, and asked if I can come to Keezhadi. 
It seems there is a conference on the habitation site.

ஆர்.பாலகிருஷ்ணன் எழுதிய 'Journey Of A Civilization: Indus To Vaigai' என்ற நூல் வெளியீட்டு விழா நேற்று மாலை அண்ணா நூற்றாண்டு நூலக அரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது . இந்தப் புத்தகத்தை பாரதி புத்தகாலயம் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது. புத்தகத்தை ஜஸ்டிஸ் ஆர்.மகாதேவன் வெளியிட, `Early Indians' நூலின் ஆசிரியரும் பிரபல பத்திரிகையாளருமான டோனி ஜோசப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

நிகழ்வில் கே.ராஜன் பேசுகையில், ``பாலகிருஷ்ணன் தொல்லியல் துறையின் மூத்த மாணவர். அவர் இன்றும் படித்துக்கொண்டே இருக்கிறார் அதுதான் அவரது பலம். நீங்கள் கடந்த காலத்தோடு பொருந்திப்போய் , அதைக் கொண்டாடி, அதைப் பற்றி ஆய்வு செய்து அதை பிறருக்கும் புகட்ட வேண்டும்" என்றார்.
