Dear Friend, 

Although the problem of Climate Change is global, its causes are rooted in the way we live and treat our surroundings. Immediate measures need to be taken to arrest Global Warming in our home, street and workplace and for students in their school / college. With this in mind, Exnora International has initiated 88888 Lights Out campaign to create awareness about the causes, consequences and solutions of Global Warming.

 

What is the 88888 Lights Out Campaign?

 

·                    On August 8^th, 2008, we will take a stand to arrest Global Warming when we switch off our lights at 8:00 pm for 8 minutes.

 

The purpose of this campaign:

 

·                    To create awareness about how everyday human activities pollute the environment, the land, the air and the water.

·                    To impart a sense of individual responsibility amongst the people towards their surroundings.

·                    To provide simple solutions to arrest Global Warming, thus arresting climate change.

·                    To create a feeling of togetherness when several people take a pledge to begin an eco-friendly lifestyle.
