We are still working with Brill to receive a complete journal and ebooks title lists, at this time it is up to the provider's roadmap to resolve the issue therefore we don't have the time line for resolution. Authorized Users may use the results of any Text Mining activity for their research, including without limitation the creation of an index, abstract, or description of Licensed Materials, whether in the form of a direct extraction or a representation in any form which is based on subscribed Content. Material downloaded under the Agreement before its expiry may continue to be used under the same licence conditions as pertain while the Agreement exists. Once the Agreement has terminated then no further access to the service and to future publications will be possible unless the Agreement is renewed or extended. If the Agreement is renewed or extended then new conditions will apply. If the Agreement is not renewed then renewal is a matter between Institutions and Brill.
The Fee for early termination in accordance with clause 10.4 of the Terms and Conditions for the Standard Chest Licence for Online Resources is nil. Please note that this clause has been amended. The notice period under this agreement is ninety days, not sixty.
The Bodleian Libraries do not have perpetual access to all of the ebooks available via SOLO. Some ebooks, for example, are included as part of an annual subscription package, the renewal of which may be subject to funding. These packages are referred to here as special-case packages.
In other instances, the Libraries may have acquired temporary access to titles as part of an offer or initiative promoted by a publisher or supplier. Evidence-based Acquisition (EBA) is an example of such an initiative. It is an arrangement that permits full access to a large catalogue of ebooks for a fixed period. After this period, the Libraries are given the option of purchasing a selection of titles from the catalogue to add to their permanent collection, taking usage figures into account.

Constellate is a text analytics service from the parent company of JSTOR. The Library subscribes at the Pedagogy level, which allows you to create and save up to five datasets using materials from JSTOR and partner publishers. Constellate does not allow downloading for local analysis, but does provide online tools, including online Jupyter Notebooks with Python.
The HathiTrust Research Center (HTRC) enables computational analysis of the HathiTrust corpus. It offers a variety of tools for doing analysis while complying with copyright law. You must create an account at HathiTrust Analytics to use the Research Center, but you can now login with your CNetID. You will receive an email verification to finish account creation.
SAGE permits downloading of any articles within the LIbrary's subscription for non-commercial use. They allow web-scraping, but prefer researchers use the Crossref TDM API. You must adhere to the policies listed on their TDM page and accept the terms of their TDM license.
SPIE allows text and data mining of licensed materials for research and educational or business purposes only. Information derived from text or data mining may be made public; however, the original copyrighted source documents may not be publicly distributed. SPIE does not offer an API or any other service to facilitate text and data mining.

Users must log in and access Wiley content through Wiley's API and must agree to the click-through Wiley Text and Data Mining Agreement.
In an effort to save our students money on textbooks, Library Services introduced an e-course text purchase program (starting in the Fall of 2021). We check the Akedemos textbook list with our book dealer's availability. If we can purchase the course text, we do. Check our catalog for e-course texts. Check our reserves list for printed items.

However, we have an agreement with the following 4 publishers (through our VIVA partners): Oxford University Press, Wiley, Brill, and Taylor & Francis. Getting their ebooks is not a guarantee, but we're willing to give it a try!
The copying allowance is set by the original publishers: some publishers allow more allowance than others, whilst there are also some publishers who don't allow their books to be copied at all (0% copying allowance).
