1The time factor is the most important element in forecasting markets; and therefore he used this time factor in producing his highly-accurate annual forecasts of the stock and commodity markets.

2) The time factor is so fundamental that it precedes (and therefore causes) changes in prices and changes in volume in the stock and commodity markets.

3) The time factor is a valuable secret, details of which he is unwilling to reveal. He is however prepared to teach trading rules which, when properly applied, produce profits in the stock and commodity markets.

1) In the background is an interlocking compass and setsquare, from which comes a tunnel.

2) In the foreground is a pair of scales, on one side of which is an hourglass and on the other side is a price movement.

3) Stretching between the background and foreground is a series of interlocking squares.

Therefore Gann preferred not to reveal that astrology is the basis of his market forecasts for the following reasons:

1) The principle that astrology may be used to produce detailed forecasts of the stock and commodity markets is a valuable secret that had taken Gann much time and effort to master.

2) Gann firmly believed that his students should, like him, devote much time and hard work to their studies on how to make speculation a profitable profession.

3) Gann was well aware that the suggestion that the stock and commodity markets are governed by astrological influences is an astounding new paradigm, which violates the conventional wisdom and would therefore attract hostility.

It appears to be a fact that Mr Gann has developed an entirely new idea as to the principles governing stock market movements. He bases his operations on certain natural laws which, though existing since the world began, have only in recent years been analysed with precision and added to the list of so-called modern discoveries.

The esoteric meaning behind these statements is as follows:

Certain points on the zodiac (identified by a precise number of degrees) relate to specific stocks and to specific commodity markets. The sun is unique amongst the planets in that it completes one revolution of the zodiac every year. Moreover on any given day of the year the sun is in exactly the same position (in the zodiac) as it was on that day one year earlier, ten years earlier or a century earlier. Consequently the sun will aspect a particular point on the zodiac on the same day every year. This is the cause of seasonal tendencies in the stock and commodity markets (indeed, this is the cause of all seasonal tendencies on earth).

The important point to note here is that Gann emphasised the seasonal tendencies in the stock and commodity markets to encourage his students to think about and to identify the cause. The cause is the position of the planets, and in particular their angles to a specific point on the zodiac (which is of course astrology).

Gann died in June 1955 and therefore these astrology letters are some of his last teachings. However, it is notable that in these two short letters Gann does not reveal any clear and specific method of astrological forecasting of the commodity markets. Instead, Gann encouraged his student to observe, experiment and learn for himself how the angles between the planets and their angles to specific points on the zodiac forecast the changes in price trends. Indeed, it appears that Gann had for over fifty years kept secret his method of market forecasting and at the age of 76 he was not simply going to reveal it to a student. Nevertheless Gann was continuing his lifelong practice of helping his students to make speculation a profitable profession by giving them guidance and letting them learn for themselves.

When we have mastered how astrological influences affect the stock and commodity markets, we will be in a position to produce accurate annual forecasts. Like Gann, we will then become the foremost speculators and traders of our generation.

But in reality his methods were based on Time, that is he used Time to predict the change in market trends. Some researchers predict that he was using esoteric and some say he used mathematics, we believe with the latter adding to that in our opinion, he was also well versed with ancient/ vedic mathematics.

According to Gann

"TIME is the most important factor in determining market movements and by studying the past records of the averages or individual stocks you will be able to prove for yourself that history does repeat and that by knowing the past you can tell the future. There is a definite relation between TIME and PRICE. Now, by a study of the TIME PERIODS and TIME CYCLES you will learn why tops and bottoms are found at certain times and why Resistance Levels are so strong at certain times and bottoms and tops hold around them.

The most money is made when fast moves and extreme fluctuations occur at the end of major cycles."

The Time Factor is a phenomenon which exists in all financial markets. Once understood, it is a powerful tool that can allow you to calculate predictable and repeating market cycles so that you can better time your investment decisions. I am not only convinced that a Master Time Factor exists in all financial markets, I am certain that it is present because I have seen it. I have also been able to predict it occurring within the markets time and time again.

Gann developed the theory that there is a discernible relationship in all financial markets between price and time. He believed that the geometric representation of price through time revealed important cyclical patterns in markets that had predictive values.

It has been witnessed that he gave in one day 16 successive orders in the same stock, eight of which turned out to be at either the top or the bottom eighth of that particular swing. The above we can positively verify. Such performances as these, coupled with the foregoing, are probably unparalleled in the history of the Street.

Gann wrote that in a rally cycle, when a price declines under an angle, price will often dip down to the next angle before finding support. In reality, this does not necessarily occur. Quite often, a price may come back to test an angle before continuing a trend. These support and resistance angle lines should never be confused with support and resistance trendlines because the angle lines can be used to indicate time.

Looking back over history, you must establish the Gann square with angles. Once you have identified the Gann angles, the Gann fan can be projected from future highs and lows. Time is the most important factor in market trading analysis. If you are able to enter and exit a trade at the right time, you will be able to take all the profit available in the market. This can be demonstrated in Figures 1 through 6.

In Figure 1, I have established a Gann square. Note the Gann square Abcd on the chart. The 2x1 angle is the angle that has connected the low to the high, so it is this Gann fan that we now watch to determine time.

Note what happens next. The price started off rising along the 8x1 angle, going up to test the 2x1 angle and falling back to the 4x1 angle. It then continued to rise with the 4x1 angle as a support and the 2x1 angle as a resistance.

Projecting the angles downward now that we have established them, we know the time. From the high, price fell sharply along the 8x1 angle to find support on the 1x1 upward angle. The low established should have occurred on February 6, 2009, but it did not. The angles also suggest time changes on December 30, 2009, November 10, 2010, and September 14, 2011. Can we trust these dates? The answer is no, so Gann the man must have used another strategy to develop time cycles.

I have uploaded Myles Wilson Walker "Power of Hexagon" on my youtube channel. I have planned to upolad Michael Jenkins 6 Hour Training Video & Walkers "wd gann Master time Factor" once i reach 1000 subscriber. so if you are gann fan & want to watch these videos then subscribe to my channel -

along with the STAR OF DAVID and the number " 19? " that W.D Gann talked much about. I know also about the TETRAHEDRON and the CUBE of 27 and its connection to the STAR NUMBER SET and the HEXAGON NUMBER SET as well. I know abut the angle of 109 and the geometry involed in the market. The hardest part is piecing the Law of Vibration which is simple mathmatics to the position value and duration of time.

If anyone is really interesed let me know, because in studying my method I prove that TIME and SPACE exist and it is not made just as clock work. You will also hold the master key to the market within the number 19, which will also prove the case for proof of the creator. The number 8 is the 19th prime, and holds the key to many things within the markets. It is the most sought esoteric breakthrough that has to do with the 4 dimensions of the stock market. This is nothing like Brad Cowan material, but is far more realistic and superior and expect couple years of study and you could be a lot better than me.

Another way of adjusting the calculations on several Gann tools is by changing the Factor. This scales the interval accordingly, so on a Gann Square set to 90 bars, adjusting the Time Factor to 0.5 will draw the edge of the square at 45 bars. Similarly, if the Price Factor is changed to 2 then the top of the box will be drawn $1.80 away (if the Price Unit is set to 0.01).
