Hi, im trying to install FTDI drivers to MinnowBoard.

Can anybody tolds me how to do this? (As i understand i need original Linux sources for build driver).

Are you trying to use the serial console, or do you need the driver to communicate with another device attached to the minnow?

You mean D2XX driver? Maybe in future i will need this.

You don't need the ftdio-sio driver on the minnow, that is for the host. The minnow uses the pch-uart driver, the conversion to USB is transparent to the minnow.

Seems i misunderstand you.

I need to connect external FTDI FT232RQ chip to USB Host on Minnow board, that's why i need to build ftdi_sio.ko.

Aha, OK, that makes sense.

If you're using the Angstrom distribution that ships with it, you need
to install the linux development package. Do an "opkg list | grep linux"
and then install... I forget exactly what they are called. Something
like linux-dev.

I typically just build the kernel I want on my workstation and install
it to the minnow fs.
