Post up where you're located and favorite rides

My idea behind this group is so that we can possibly meet each other
for eventual group rides or to organize an annual trip or something.
I'm in Forest Lake, about 30 miles north of the twin cities where 35E
and W meet. When I can get out, I ride hwy 95 to stillwater or St.
Croix Falls. If I'm going farther I like to ride down the WI side of
35 down to lake city or red wing. I'd like to find different places
around the twin cities to ride and explore.

My favorite roads are the alphabet roads of Wisconsin between Hudson to the Illinois border. Anywhere in the SW corner of Wisconsin is amazing. On the Minnesota side, anything south of Lake City in the bluffs and the entire SE corner of the state. I'm a long time MN BMW club member and our annual rally is in Money Creek, due south of Winona, so I've been on most of these roads. I'd be happy to lead a group down there sometime later this year. On an unrelated related note, I'm off to Colorado tomorrow to see how many mountain passes I can bag. I'll be sure to post a ride report and pictures. Ride safe.

hey there,
i'm a new rider, so i haven't really discovered anything of my own yet.  I am looking for people to ride with and will be happy to just do what i am told!
I have mainly ridden around the northwest twin cities suburbs where i live, (Anoka, Ramsey, Elk River, Cambridge, where i bought my bike).  I also did a couple short rides south toward Belle Plaine.
I did one trip to Milwaukee and back just this past June, that was a good experience for me to see how long i can stay on the bike.  I had no problems really to speak of.
Also i rode up 95 to Taylors Falls and over to Siren wisconsin one day.
So, yeah i am open to anything really, i have heard about the "Alphabet" roads area but have yet to go there!
All of your ideas sound good.

Love to ride the roads in the area you mention Greg, just wouldn't be
able to do it this year. No personal leave days left and vacation time
all booked up, but I'd certainly like to take you up on it next year.

I plan to be there.  I think I'll get there around 5:30 or a little after. I've never been there so I don't know where I'll be. Silver 6th gen with hard bags and black wheels...
