Full day ride to Winona and back - August 25th

Hi all,

Some friends and I are doing a day ride this Sunday, August 25th.  We'll be leaving at 9am from Apple Valley (picking up a couple of people in Prescott).  Then, we're riding down 35 on the Wisconsin side, having lunch in Winona, and taking back roads back up ending in Welch Village. This will be about 250-300 miles round trip from Apple Valley.  Should get home around 5pm.

As much as I'd like to, my doc says I cannot ride 'til my arm bones are completely healed. Not sooner than 8/29 and possibly not until end of Sept. Needless to say I am going nuts.

Hi Ken, I did buy a backup 01 in the spring of 2012. From Ohio, 18,xxx mi. for $3200. (The totaled bike was my 105,xxx '01) So that is what I'd planned to ride. Took it to Honda Town (trailered) to get brake and fork maintenance done a month ago. When I went to pick it up, there was a 2000 VFR on consignment from a guy in Duluth. It seemed a low price, due to a constant FI light on after it was running. So I bought it. So I'm back to two 5th gens. When I swapped out the PGM-FI unit from the '01 to the '00 the FI issue went away. Swapping the PGM-FI unit back to the '00 the issue was gone also. Seems it corrected it's self. I guess I'm a victim of MBD - Multi Bike Dissorder. I just wish I could ride one. Sigh! I'll be in touch when I can ride again.

The doc cleared me to ride again. So I'm a candidate for all get togethers from now on. I plan on being at Dulono's Bike Night next Thursday, 9/5. Hope to hook up with some MNVFRs.
