Hey there, thanks Terry!
I'm always up for a ride, but still in the same tight schedule situation with kids and work and stuff!
So i may not be able to ride very much, but would always like to know about rides happening,
So I will try to follow what's happening with the group.
Regards,

Hey Guys,
I'm the one who started this group but unfortunately some things have changed for me.  I actually sold my VFR in mid 2011 as I went through a divorce and bought a BMW GS.  About 7 months ago I totaled the GS and broke my leg pretty bad so I don't have a bike anymore. I likely won't have another bike for another year or so and in order to limit my, ummm, right wrist problems :).  I plan to get an older honda or a small off road bike.  Is anyone interested in being the moderator for this group? I think I can just make the change on google groups somehow.

Wow Dan, sorry to hear about all that!    How did you total the BMW?   I mean did a car hit you??  and were you on a trip far away from home and stranded?
I think it's a good idea to get an older Honda again when you are ready.

However, I can't be the group moderator, especially with my limited time.

If someone else can't do it either, we could just let the group fizzle out, and someone else with the desire can start up a new group as time progresses....?

I was in Mindoro Cut in SW Wisconsin, about 45 minutes East of LaCrosse.  I had a little too much speed, went wide in a corner and collided head on with a Harley.  Luckily I wear full gear but my leg hit the right cylinder and I shattered my leg pretty bad.  Three surgeries, endless physical therapy and at least $250k billed to my insurance later I'm walking again.  The medics told me that they respond to an accident nearly every day in the summer there so they were close by, luckily...

I agree, let the group fizzle if needed.  It seemed to have fizzled pretty quickly anyways.

Hi Dan. Thanks for setting this up. I'm willing to try to moderate. Can you make changes to allow this? Any advice for me? Let me know and then I'll start messing around.

I am going to try to moderate this asylum. We are all nuts about VFRs after all. I'll be on a steep learning curve. Suggestions/criticism  are welcome.

Since I am retired I'll try to moderate this group. I'll have to learn how to do it so I hope everyone will be patient. Suggestions will be welcome.

Hello John,
I'm on a steep learning curve here. I got this email, and the VFR-MN group shows an unread message but I cannot find it. I assume it's from you. Did you post to the group or are you just emailing me.
There are no hard plans as of yet. I've two '01 that need a lot of work. (I won't bore you with the details). Need to be done so I can go to T-mac. Bottom line is I cannot ride 'til they are done.
Have patience. I'd love for this to work. Where abouts are you? Any details you'd like to share?
Ride safe John,
Terry
