Thursday, Feb 12, 2009

Dear Republican Leader,

A cherished friend of the Republican Party of Minnesota passed away Tuesday at the age of 64. Dennis Newinski, affectionately known as Denny represented the East Metro in the state House in 1990 and he proceeded to run for Congress as the Republican endorsed candidate in 1994, 1996, and 1998. Newinski was an optimist, a fighter and - most of all - a man of faith, say family and friends. When he was diagnosed in 2007, doctors gave him months to live, said Republican Party Chairman Ron Carey.
