Matthew Johnson will share techniques that employ the emerging style of value-oriented programming. This style leverages Swift's core design principle of value semantics to improve the clarity, composabiltiy and testability of our code. It affords the benefits of referential transparency and locality of reasoning popularized by functional programming without requiring us to embrace pervasive immutability.
After the talk we'll head out to a local brewery to keep the discussion going.
