Subject: Can a User Grp give CPE credit for meetings?

I had originally posted this to the Leaders forum in June 2008....thought it was worth a refresher.

Can a UG give CPE credit for meetings?  Yes.
You can award CPEs to members that are not CPAs for your meetings if you have presentations that meet the criteria for CIAs, CISAs, and CFEs.
But to give CPEs for CPAs, you would need to be NASBA certified or to join forces with IIA or ISACA and the like and fall under their umbrella for that accreditation.
ACL is unable to add you to our NASBA certification.

So, you could create a certificate for our chapter that would give CPE hours to those in attendance that are non-CPAs.
