Both girls and boys wear red sport jackets with matching ties, and long-sleeved white dress-shirts. Boys wear blue jeans and black dress-shoes with their jackets and shirts, while girls wear blue denim miniskirts and black knee-boots. Moreover, girls often untuck and tie up their white dress-shirts, exposing their midriff. Girls also wear regulation underwear: full-cut black briefs with matching sport-bras, as demonstrated by Mia in the series' pilot. In the last season, girls wear denim blue skirts with blue knee boots.[citation needed]

One of the topics that marked the success of the telenovela was the formation of a group named RBD (abbreviation for "ReBelDe"). The production of the series conceived the idea of the musical group to promote both the characters and the show itself. The project quickly surpassed the telenovela in success, so much so that it can now be considered as a separate concept (as Erreway of Rebelde Way did in Argentina). The series was a great promotion for the group since it was able to reach all of Latin America, United States, and several European nations. The group is one of the most impressive in the Latin pop genre and has had great success in Hispanic countries, the U.S. and even Brazil, where the telenovela and the group were highly successful. The show's success was so great that during the third season, the producers decided to lengthen the time of the episodes to one hour and a half, being the first telenovela with such duration.

Rebelde Season 2 is finally here! Yes, folks! The Netflix series, inspired by the Mexican telenovela of the same name, is back with a new season bringing more music, more intrigue, and some new faces to the mix.

And while it all seemed to wrap up nicely with the band finally finding its voice and the bad guys getting what they deserved (well, most of them anyway); at the end of the first season we were left with more questions than answers, and with the fate of many of our favorite characters hanging in the air.

When we say that everything has changed this season, the statement is quite literal: things at EWS are definitely not the same for this new term. Not only are there new students stirring the pot to cause trouble for our faves, but the Musical Excellence Program (MEP) also has a new teacher: Mr. Gus Bauman (Flavio Medina). Mr. Bauman arrives at the school flashing his credentials as a successful music producer and giving the students the news that the Battle of the Bands contest (yeah, the one they fought so hard to win last season) is no longer a thing and that they will have to prove their worth individually.

Naturally, the aftermath of all this weighs heavily on Andi. She feels guilty and betrayed, and that leaves her in a VERY vulnerable state that some characters are quick to see as an opportunity to take advantage of her. No spoilers, but her whole arc this season truly broke our hearts and all we wanted to do was to hug her and tell her that everything was going to be okay.

But anygays, we have to confess that yes, despite everything, his storyline with Okane was our favorite this season. Sue us. We love a good romance and we love it even more when the characters have undeniable chemistry, and these two are on fire from the first moment their eyes meet.

The show, while still in the same campy tone as its first season, takes a more serious tone when depicting some of the issues teenagers face when surrounded by a highly toxic environment, and we applaud that. The world needs more TV shows where young folks, especially LGBTQ+ ones, get to explore the ups and downs of adolescence and life in general without taking everything too seriously either.

The show starred Azul Guaita, Sergio Mayer Mori, Andrea Chaparro, Jerónimo Cantillo, Franco Masini, Lizeth Selene, and Alejandro Puente, first premiering on January 5th, 2022, with the second season releasing in July 2022.

New additions to the cast in Season 2 were Saak as Okane and Flavio Medina as Gus Bauman, both critical to the drama-filled plot this season. Rebelde took a darker turn in its second season with the introduction of drugs and the intricacies of the music industry. It had a Euphoria meets Elite vibe to it.

Friendships and relationships crumbled this season, and the characters faced new challenges under high-pressure situations. This season, Gus Bauman remained a significant focus of the plot as the villain who created a fresh Hell for the EWS students.

However, the stint did not fare well for Luka as Bauman pushed him off the roof, which was their rendezvous spot. He was hospitalized in a comatose state after suffering severe injuries from the fall. Meanwhile, Bauman's deciding competition, which entailed solo performances, was won by Esteban, who had shaped into quite an obnoxious and cowardly person this season.

At this current time, Netflix has still not announced if Season 3 will go ahead or not, but the platform will now likely wait until a couple of weeks or months after the premiere of Season 2 to see how ratings fair this season.

Alejandro is part of the new wave of Mexican actors who are breaking out on Netflix's Gen-Z reboot of the beloved telenovela, which won over OG fans with the first season in January and is now back for a season 2. The series began as Rebelde Way in Argentina in 2002, before being adapted into Rebelde in Mexico. Thanks to the success of the Mexican series' band, called RBD, the multi-platinum group helped Rebelde become a global phenomenon with a fan base that still rides hard for them.

"We now have to prove ourselves as solo artists," he says. "You're going to get to see people sing different songs, original songs. I sing by myself but I'm also very excited to have duets with Andrea, Selene, and with the whole cast. Whatever you thought season one was, forget it because this is a new season with new conflicts. Relationships are going to be redefined, rediscovered."

The most rebellious girl in Elite Way and one of the most popular is Roberta Pardo Rey . She's the daughter of the famous singer Alma Rey. Roberta's father threatened to take her to Spain with him unless she attended Elite Way. Roberta has a big attitude, but she also has a big heart and is willing to help others and stand up to injustices. Her best friends are Lupita Fernandez and Jose Lujan Lojan . In season 3, she becomes friends with Mia. Roberta is in love with Diego. She has shown her true self with him. During the first season, they pretended to go out so Diego could play in the band and Alma would leave Roberta alone, but unwantingly, they fell in love. Her father decided to take her to Spain and when she came back, Diego was with someone else and treated her cruel. Later on, Diego made a bet with Tomas that he could get her to be his girlfriend. When Roberta found out, she broke up with him. Unknown to her, he actually did love her. After Diego, she decided to go out with Simon, who had a kid. They broke up between the first and second season. In season 2 Roberta didn't date Diego at all but she still loved him. During the beginning, Diego and Roberta were friends but later hated each other. Again. She started dating Roger and Diego started dating Veronica. They used the other person to get each other jealous. However, Veronica and Roger meant nothing to Roberta or Diego. Later on, she had a no commitment relationship with Inaki.

Lupita is a good girl. She has a giant heart and she shares it with others. She is friends with nearly everyone and doesn't pick sides. Her best friends are Roberta Pardo, Jose Lujan Landeros and Mia Colucci. She hates confrontations and is kind to everyone, including those she doesn't necessarily like. She's timid and nearly everyone in Elite Way likes her. Elite Way is her dream school and she got in with a scholarship. Her family is poor and if it weren't for this scholarship, she wouldn't be able to attend. She has a younger sister named Dulce who is ill. Lupita loves her little sister and found it very difficult to leave her. Her mother hates her because she left to go to Elite Way. It is revealed during a psychological test she took that she is not close to her mother at all. Her father abandoned her, Dulce and her mother when they were little. However, her aunt Mayra was been like a mother to Lupita. She has always encouraged Lupita to go to school and to come out of her shell. She gets angry easily, but never hurts anyone. She is one of the best students in Elite Way. In season 1, she fell in love with Nico Huber. His mother never accepted her because she was Catholic and they were Jewish. They dated, but had a lot of problems especially with Nico's ex. At one point, Lupita went out with Tomas, but this was short-lasting. In the end of season 1, they had a symbolic wedding which was set up by friends and every person in their year attended. It was a surprise to her and Nico. In season 2, Nico's mother forces him to go to Israel for a year. He and Lupita say goodbye and promise to wait for each other. While he's gone Leonardo falls in love with her, but she keeps rejecting him because she's waiting for Nico. However, Nico's mom intercepts all the cards Nico and Lupita send to each other and makes sure they never get them. This leads to Lupita being heartbroken and believing Nico forgot about her. The last straw was when Nico's mom told her that Karen went to Israel to look for him and that they were probably together. Lupita is heartbroken and decided to move on and forget him. Santos is in love with Lupita and has been trying to be with her, but she's always rejected him because of Nico, despite feeling some sort of attraction towards him. After hearing about Karen leaving to Israel in search of Nico, she does nothing in order to pursue Santos. Lupita found out her father did not abandon them because of Dulce's illness, but because her mother had cheated on him and Dulce was not his daughter. She discovers she has a half-sister named Lola. Lola hates Lupita. Lupita's dad has kept tabs on Lupita through Mayra and is constantly comparing Lola and Lupita. Lola hates her because of this. She has a crush on Leonardo, but he likes Lupita. He tells her to get along with Lupita and she does so. But one day, she sees Leo kiss Lupita and begins to hate Lupita even more. Later on, she likes Santos too. But he likes Lupita. She's mad about that. This prevents Lupita from pursuing a relationship with Santos. She wants to protect her sister. However, during Christmas he asks her out and she says yes. This happiness is short-lived, because on that same day, Nico comes back. He sees Lupita and Santos kissing and is heartbroken. He asks her why she stopped writing to him. She says she never got any news from him and on that very day she had finally decided to date someone else. Lupita is torn between Santos and Nico. She chooses to forgive Nico and get back with him. However, she realizes that she only loves him as a friend, but she loves Santos. Lupita is a member of RBD.
