Hi,

I am following the develments of minix of Minix for many years.

Now I was wondering where the Loris source code has gone and where I can find them.

Kind regards,

Michael

Hi all,

Let me get back to you on that soon.

Clearly I forgot all about this! Thankfully, Michael recently reached out once more. As a result, we just published the source code of the Loris storage stack. Loris is now available on Andy Tanenbaum's home page [0], under the "SOFTWARE" header.

Loris was written originally by Raja Appuswamy and myself, more than a decade ago by now. It is and always has been a research prototype, with many practical limitations. However, we have taken this new opportunity to update it for the MINIX 3.4.0rc6 snapshot. That means that this release is a bit more than just a source code dump: with a few steps, Loris can actually be compiled and used. If you are interested, please see the README file enclosed in the archive.

Kind regards,
David
