This is a compelling application, and could be the niche that catapults Minix to the forefront of secure, microkernel-based appliances.

There was a post from guy who wants minix as a smartphone OS, so you may want to read this: https://groups.google.com/g/minix3/c/az8FP279u7I/m/pWL53XUAAQAJ. TL;DR: there is a lot of things that must be implemented to turn minix into a modern OS before we can start porting Minix to smartphones.
