I've installed Minix from CD-ROM to c0d0p0 ( d = 160Gib ).
And I'm getting ' No spaca on device 3/30. ' at the command prompt
frequently.

Hi,

The error message indicates device 3 subdevice 30 which normally
refers to /dev/c0d6. This is not a device that is normally used,
especially because disks are normally partitioned before putting
filesystems on them.

Either something is trying to access /dev/c0d6 or the nodes in /dev
are incorrect. You can verify the latter using ls, although it seems
unlikely that anything would be wrong here.

With kind regards,
Erik

Ok, 2 things, just did testing :

Firstly,
On /usr/src/test/run, I got :
Shell test 1 OK
Shell test 2 fs : I/O error on disk 2/0, block 3

Testing 2 passed, 41 failed

*********************************
Secondly, I rebuild the world, I tried to make bootable floppy disk

On make fdboot,
there were a series of errror saying ' unrecoverable disk error x '
where x was incrementing from 0 to 11 ...

On reinstalling the system, only this ( quoted ) problem is
eradicated, not the problems I faced in my second post.
Just wanted to clarify.

Still the message keeps popping up:No space on device 3/130. And just
a note, when system boots up, it prompts to reload some inode mapping.
( Something related to your second diagnostic, might help you )

Thanks
